I mean look at this fact. The great Faleure took the top FS guy from IOWA, Ohio st., and Cornell!!!!!(by the way, none have gotten better so far!!!) Very hard to make a case for a top recruit when the F*** st offer is plenty of $$$$$, start when you want we will grey shirt you etc.... and train with3/4 of our international team plus everyone else!!!
New facility!?!?!? Yea i would have been the first to say, if it was possible, the money should have been thrown into the HWC. Use it as a slush fund to buy every top guy you could! Build back the DYNASTY and that will bring in tons of money to build a new facility".

I spoke to a guy last year at Nationals and he said he heard that there was a guy with the last name of Rockefeller that was interested in throwing a few bucks Iowa's way. I wish I had got his name but he was wearing a yellow Hawkeye T-shirt.

I find amazing that a guy who built maybe the greatest program ever in a faleure lol. I know PSU only has ten recent wins but if you look at the overall picture I doubt there's ever been a program like this.
They don't suffer from a lack of rich guys willing to throw money at the program. They have at least two of them, and one has repeatedly told the HR faithful that the financial disparity is a thing of the past.

My initial reaction to reading Spooner's 2nd post in the PJ DUKE thread asking "who the hell is PJ Duke?" was I'm quite sure TnT were asking themselves the same question. Iowa fans gotta be left wondering if Bobby Telford didn't make the call.
They also have a lot of poor people willing to throw money at the program, whose monthly "donations" will increase with each PSU title. Until they get evicted.

I will be thrilled if they overly rely on that pipeline. So will Iowa City sports medicine docs.
If I were the coaching staff at Iowa, I'd start by at least contacting every elite h.s. recruit there is no matter who they are. We know they never contacted Brooks. There were a couple others I've heard on podcasts that admitted Iowa never contacted and then just yesterday while I was catching up on my wrestling material Levi Haines said he never heard from Iowa. I love the thread on HR that deals with the disparity of funding for the HWC and the NLWC. They fail to note the bigger disparity in returns on funding. How many HWC wrestlers placed in the recent World Championships compared to NLWC wrestlers?

Just looked at their roster. The word “uninspiring” came to mind - Spencer Lee and a bunch of guys who came up short in college. They did have a super secret link to the Inner Circle Store though.
It's not a bad RTC roster and much improved vs 3 yrs ago, but short of Cornell, Michigan, and PSU.
But the highlight has to be Warner's haircut -- somewhere between Mr. T and Byzantine Monk.

Same could be said for Myles Amine and his 2 world medals.
But yeah, other than Lee and maybe DeSanto, not seeing many wins at international events.
Guys like Joe Colon, Pat Downey, and Hayden Zillmer have all represented the US in the past few years.
I wouldn't bet on it or predict it, but one of the HWC members making a team or two eventually could happen.
