I'm not an Xs and Os guy, but that was a weird defensive alignment by App St. 4th and 2, game over if you stop the play and you have your corner bailing out and expect the inside defender to be able to get out and cover Polk? Impossible. Their only hope was that the throw was off or Polk dropped it. That defense is fine on 4th and 12, but not 4th and 2.

I noticed the CB backing off too, and wondered why he bailed. Can't thank him enough, since he gave Polk the two yards and more needed for the 1st down.
