Bring on Oregon

We will definitely be ranked above tOSU in this week’s ranking. But the relevant discussion is how would a 11-2 PSU rank vs a 10-2 tOSU. I actually think we stay above the Buckeyes but I can see the H2H argument rearing its head.
We'll definitely be ahead of them--that Michigan loss is bad--really, really bad.

Different scenario because now Ohio State has two losses and we only have one despite our loss being to them?

Isn’t it exactly the same? Only reversed?
I'm talking about hypotheticals and how we'll be seeded compared to OSU after the CCG should we lose to Oregon, at which point we'd have 2 losses.

I don’t think that’s a relevant discussion at all. I expect us to be 12-1 and B1G champs. Therefore the relevant discussion is whether a 12-1 PSU team is the 1 seed over a 12-1 Texas team if it comes to it.
Just to clarify--the "expectation" is that we beat Oregon?

And did not look great vs Idaho and Boise St. They must have some weaknesses.
Early in the season doesn't necessarily mean a lot--they've beat some good teams since then
They're not unbeatable though--that's for sure. Maybe our worst matchup other than Ohio State though

It's not a good matchup but it's not a terrible one either. The neutral field will help. They are far better at home than on the road. Not claiming we are a favorite, but we have a much better shot in Indy than out there

Oregons first half against Washington at home is identical to ours. We also played Wisconsin better than they did. They played Ohio State better but then again we have a mental block against Ohio State and they don't.

Sure--Indy is better than Eugene
It's one of our worst matchups on paper though. I'd rather play any SEC school.
Not saying we can't win--we just aren't supposed to so if we do tons of kudos going to James

Allow me to add this: The winner of the Big Ten championship game gets either Texas or Georgia.

Oregon is being hailed for leading Washington 28-6 at halftime.

We led 28-3. But hey whatever.

Gabriel is what worries me most about Oregon--we haven't played anyone like him. He's basically Howard with accuracy plus you add in his experience--most college starts ever I believe (or at least close)

Well Wisconsin did something to him. I seem to recall them sending pressure and not giving him the edge. Game might be about 11 and 33 getting home, but then again maybe Allen puts 11 in the middle of the field as a spy on third down.

Oregon's had a few games this year where they could finish drives
Wisconsin held Gabriel in check but he still hit 70% + of his throws in that game. They were able to get some big sacks at key moments--hopefully we do the same

Expectation is set--see the line
His hope that we win making him think we win doesn't alter expectations

Lando, you're digging yourself deeper.

Expectation and the line are two different things.

Boxers don't enter a fight expecting to lose because the line says so.

You're clowning yourself here... BAD.

Boxers believing they can or will win doesn't alter the expectation--people lie to themselves all the time

I feel like our defense can keep us in games against anybody. It’s the offense I worry about.

I just did the math and the only way Alabama gets in is to jump Miami, but if that happens they will get the 11.

I don't think anyone with 3 losses jumps Miami
What? Why?
Miami has lost 2 of their last 3 to GT and Syracuse (neither of them are ranked)
Their SOS is 45
Their best win is....Florida?
They probably should have lost to Va Tech and Cal for different reasons
The only way the ACC might get two teams is if Clemson beats SMU and SMU steals the final spot from the SEC

I'm sorry but Oklahoma 24 Alabama 3. By every metric that's the kind of loss the committee uses to keep you out.

So you are going to keep Cam Ward out of the playoffs?
So you are going to keep Jalen Milroe out of the playoff?
So you are going to keep LaNorris Sellers out of the playoff?
Hunter and Sanders? Dart? Klubnik--the list is never ending of elite guys that won't be in
