Bring on Oregon

Not really garbage time--that was a huge pick that prevented USC from tying the game
I hate ND more than you all hate me but that wasn't a garbage TD
If the committee looks at comparative scores to try to lift Notre Dame then they see things differently than I do. I see those as two bad throws by a freshman QB in a game that was 35-28 in the 4th quarter when USC's playoff hopes have been gone for almost 2 months.

We can take subjectivity out of it by simply beating Oregon.

Your last sentence is dead right--make it irrelevant
And I agree--I wouldn't move them ahead of us but I have a feeling they will. I think they've been waiting to do so and will use the common opponent as a final point. Texas needs to stop turning the ball over (story watching and annoyed)
Just as an FYI--doesn't change things but Jayden Maiava played for UNLV last year--had 3000+ yards--he's not a freshman--just made some bad throws

Different scenario because now Ohio State has two losses and we only have one despite our loss being to them?

Isn’t it exactly the same? Only reversed?
Yeah, but it's Ohio State. Normal logic doesn't apply to them. And we had that pesky 49-10 loss to Michigan before we finally figured out how to run Joe Moorhead's offense in the second half of the Minnesota game. Once the flip switched we were really tough to beat.
