Teams are ALREADY recruiting players off of active rosters. What is to stop a team from buying the starting QB off of a team they are going to play in the playoffs? Hypothetically, lets say it is SMU who is after Pribula or maybe it is another playoff team that is after Ewers(Tx).

I mean, I did just ask this like 6 months ago and was told by a certain individual this board I was being ridiculous and “there are safeguards in place.”

What were the safeguards?

Someone was probably in contact with Pribula before the transfer. There were rumors that a team offered Ewers $4m.

At this point it does not matter if it is rumor or not. Teams are recruiting players off of active rosters. What is to stop a playoff team from recruiting someone off of their next opponent? I dont see anything that prohibits it.

No what was said was this can happen regardless of the portal.

The Ewers rumor was bogus

What's your concern here? They can recruit anyone through the agent. Who cares if it'd SMU?

There are no rules. Or at least they are not enforced until years after the championship has been decided. Will the Michigan fans have to renounce and forget their celebrations after their win?
