A few things here. I guess this confirms Carter is going 84 this year which is what I believe was the plan since he confirmed his return. Carter will transition nicely to MMA and has already achieved pro level smack talk. I don't believe AJ could make 190 and still be competitive against Carter.

I am old school but open to this whole social media thing but this seems over the top. So Carter posted this all over for everyone to see. I guess what I don’t like is young kids might look up to him for his wrestling. That post is definitely off brand for the PSU way in my opinion. I guess funny if we were all at the bar or at hunting camp with our buds. I am surprised Cael allows this honestly.
At this stage in his career, I don’t think Cael has much leverage over what Carter does. I’m sure he doesn’t like it.
Just looks bad. I get Carter doesn’t care what people think but he does have young kids following him. I personally think it’s a terrible look
I think Cael still has the juice to end this if he really wants to, but he would have to make an ultimatum that ends with Carter at some other school.

Agree, and the AD shouldn't support this. He's still a student and represents the university. Can't say I can remember anything close to this being posted by another student athlete at PSU.

Not true- PSU prides themselves off of not acting this way. Posting a simple come back is fine but there are things he went over the top with. Then half the PSU fans are saying how cool it is blows my mind. Yes he is a four time ncaa champion and with that comes the fact kids look up to him. How was his post funny or a good look for PSU is beyond me. If he is getting paid all that money to return he should act in a professional manner. He is lucky his money is coming from donors and not from a company he is repping. Nike would get rid of him in heart beat for something like this.

I’d agree that Cael is probably not a huge fan, but I’d also note that Cael is smart enough to know you can’t force all young men into one mold. There have been many different personalities on Cael’s teams and as long as they buy into his training program, have a strong work ethic and are willing to be coached, he’s good with that.
Carter is an All-Time Great and an original for sure. I’m ecstatic he’s back and I will savor watching this Living Legend of college wrestling every single second he’s on the mat in PSU Blue.

Wrestling a fired up on a mission Starroci in Rec Hall, that will be brutal. He broke Lewis last year and there was nothing personal there.
Yeah if it was anyone else I think it would be too much, but this kind of attack is exactly what will piss off AJ the most. Over the Olympics I thought to myself, is there any athlete that if they were representing team USA if I would actually root against them? Like I obviously dislike Iowa, but I'm still rooting for Spencer to win the Olympics when he's our rep. I think the list came down two 2 names. PD3 and AJ. Brooks would have folded AJ in two, not sure Carter has quite the size, I can see this being a boring match with AJ sucking so much wind at the end of the 2nd that a few stall calls are warranted.
