At ALL schools the need is to acquire more talent at the right price. Doesnt matter if you're a 100% guy or a books guy, if a coach has an opportunity to get quality that improves his talent base without a big sacrifice money wise - its happening. There are no promises - this is a business.

These things have a way of working themselves out.

This is true whether it's at PSU or at Binghamton.

I'm going to take a guess and say Vodka's blood pressure is skyrocketing, and he's fuming that he can't get through to the NCAA compliance office.

He promised them a chance to compete for a starting job. Do you really think he promises ANYONE that they will be the starter? Come on already. Plus, last season 32 total wrestlers got some athletic ship so all but a handful of kids got partial rides. I doubt anyone got a full ride.

There is reference in the rulebook to practice allowances after a request. It's 30 days, so I'm guessing we'll know by the 3rd week of April at the latest. The Committee on Student Reinstatement does not appear to have sport-specific responsibility, so it handles all requests, all sports.

Cael and company have - for the past few years - looked to plug holes they've identified in the roster with transfers. Cortez, Keener, Kuhn...and now Conel.

I don't understand why this would be a problem.

I think it was 2, maybe 3 years ago information was released showing 30some kids got some sort of assistance. Maybe just a 100 bucks for books.
This is Cael's 10th season at PSU and, Suriano aside, transfers out haven't been a issue. It appears to me when the plan is laid out to kids and parents nobody is feeling slighted or misled.

Yep. Despite the obvious. One kid is being trained to improve his handfighting and pushing for a stall and the other two are being trained to improve their wrestling skills.
