Delany at B1G Championship

Delaney's silence in the MSU matter is all you have to know. We see evidence of sexual assaults of hundreds of student athletes, we see evidence of a cover up the whole way to the President, and he has nothing to say.

That is an abdication of his duties. All the adults in the room see and know this. It's not a joke. It's not funny. It's disgusting.

Not just MSU, Douche-lany has been silent about duhO$U despite not just the latest Urban Meyer scandal but multiple other sports being involved in the sexual abuse of student-athletes.

(Klatt) then said that while he was presenting the trophy to Franklin, Delany had come up to him and intimated that he disagreed with Klatt's position that PSU should get in.

I just listened to the tape ---- Klatt did not "intimate" that. He "flat out said" that Delany told him he was wrong!

I haven't been the biggest believer in the theory that "Delany prefers OSU (or U-M) over PSU." But Klatt's comments this AM are definitely a point in favor of that theory.

There are things that are part of Delany's job, and there are things that are not part of Delany's job --- and Delany's comments to Klatt are NOT part of his job. Neither is singling out either OSU or PSU (or any of the other 12 teams) and advocating for them at the expense of some other conference member.

On a tangent: it's pretty incredible that Delany has been in his job for TWENTY-NINE years. 29!!!!! Even if Delany was the greatest commissioner in the history of planet Earth, twenty-nine years is too much. There's a reason that we limit the terms of a United States President. We're overdue for some new blood.

Our impotent leadership will be right on this to defend the university. :rolleyes:

If crap like this is true, THIS is what could make James Franklin leave for another school. He might say that the conference commissioner has a predisposition against Penn State and that the school's leadership will do nothing to stand up to him so it doesn't matter what he does to build up the program, he can't win a championship here.

Nah. Not for someone who's up for a challenge. Franklin seems to be the type. Also, when we get the playmakers to win a national championship there will be no stopping us. Not in these days of instant replay. The thanks goes to JoePa.

I hate to bring this up, but it is the B1G Presidents who run the conference. And you know who our President reports to, right? So if you think something is gonna' change anytime soon, think again.

Sorry, Option Bob, I just saw your post but figured I'd just leave mine in support of yours.

"And you know who our President reports to, right?"

Has anyone seen video of Jim saying something to Klatt that would show some proof to this claim

Hey look, it's a 2014 Ohio State "interception."

Replay would have really helped correct that call - oh wait they had it and still f'ed it up. I was at the game and couldn't believe they didn't overturn it since it happened in front of us and we all saw it hit the ground from the stands and then they come up with some BS about replay not working when the replay in the stadium did.

The case Penn State should make is not to get rid of Delany, but rather to get out of the Big Ten without any negative financial ramifications. It is apparent that Penn State will never be treated as anything but an adjunct member of this conference. Penn State should take its high television ratings to a conference where it is appreciated.
Amen +++
