As I mentioned after the Humphreys match, maybe temper expectations a little bit.
Love Tony's fight but Brady might want to take a hard look at 157 ...

157: Negron vs Gilcher
lots of action early. Looked like Gilcher was about to get behind Negron but Tony stopped it. Back to their feet. Working in space. Some collar ties, but then back to space. A couple of half shots from each, Negron shooting off of Gilcher’s half shot. No score thru 2 mins. Then a break in the action on an eye poke (Gilcher poked). No score after one. Negron tried for an ankle as time ran out.
Gilcher takes bottom. Gets to his feet and Negron has to cut him when he can’t get the mat return. 1-0 bad guys. Collar ties. Hand fighting. Negron tries for an ankle, misses and Gilcher gets behind him and gets the TD. 3-0 bad guys. Negron to his feet but Gilcher gets Tony’s leg and returns him. Negron back to his feet, Gilcher again grabs Tony’s leg and they go OOB. Restart. Negron to his feet twice more but returned both times. 3-0 bad guys with 51 secs RT after two.
Negron chooses bottom. To his feet but returned again. Now being ridden. To his feet again and finally escapes with 1:20 to go. 3-1 bad guys. Negron in on deep single… Gilcher kicks free. Negron shoots again and Gilcher has one foot in bounds and uses a good 10 secs of clock. 30 secs to go on restart. Riding is clinched. Negron shoots but is stuffed. Bad guys takes it 4-1 with RT.
11-6 Indiana at the break.

I had the opposite reaction. Rooks looked much bigger to me, almost a whole head taller.

edsell deep double leg 30 secs in and finishes after a bit of a scramble. Coke immediately to his feet and Edsell has to cut him as they head OOB. Restart. 2-1 good guys. 2nd stalemate. 1:25 to go. Edsell deep single and gets the finish after another bit of a delay. Edsell changes levels and shoots from space / distance extremely well. Maybe can finish those deep shots a little quicker. 4-1. Edsell double boots and it ends 4-1 with 1:01 RT.
Edsell chooses bottom. Up to his feet twice and out in 9 secs. Coke gets a headlock and a TD. That’s questionable IMO. Stalemate. Now checking video. Hard to believe that was a TD. No challenge; officials checking it on their own. Edsell was on his belly; coke only had his head. TD stands. Edsell up and immediately out on restart. 6-3 Edsell. I need to publicly apologize. I feel a ton of my posts have been implying we should bench Creighton this year. Between pulling Facundo's shirt, Berge to 165, thinking if Joe should give it another go. Creighton has been doing nothing but grinding this year.

Washington beat CStar last year in the dual and was the 9 seed but did not place.
Washington early shot and gets a quick TD. 2-0 bad guys. AB to his feet and Washington returns him. A bit of a ride and they’re OOB. 2:25 to go. Brooks finally out with 2:09 to go. 2-1 Wash. collar ties. AB reaches for ankle; nothing. More collar ties. AB deep single and quick finish at edge of match. 3-2 AB. Stays at edge and OOB once Wash gets to his feet. Washington is for real. AB riding while Wash in tripod. Now back to his base. Brooks in left side. Riding, but not turning. 3-2 AB after one with 44 secs RT.
AB starts second on bottom. Caution Wash. Brooks up and out in 12 secs. Wash shoots, AB counters, almost gets near side cradle but settles for TD. Works out to front head to head looks like he might cut him but then again goes for near side cradle. Wash to his feet and Brooks cuts him. QUICK TD. AB now really taking it to Wash. to their feet and AB throws him to his back! But OOB. Restart. It’s 8-3 and there was a stall call on Wash. period ends 8-3 AB with 1:59 RT.

We can now lay to rest the Washington-Starocci match. It's as relevant today as the fact that Washington was the only guy on the world team to drink the fermented horse milk.

Cross body ride. Trying to hip him over. Draped under the outside arm. Breaks him down flat. Stalling on Willham. 2-0 with 1:13 RT after one.
Dean takes bottom . Gets to his feet, gets returned, back to his feet and out in 14 secs. Collar ties again. Hand fighting. Dean in on another single and another scramble… stopped for potentially dangerous. Still 3-0. 51 secs to go. Dean another single leg and now sitting on top Willham but Willham has dean’s foot. Ref stops it. Hard to believe there hasn’t been another stall warning. Period end 3-0 Dean with one minute RT.
