Anyone watch that match?? I’m currently watching my DVR and this weight had one of the worst FALL calls I have ever seen in College Wrestling. Maybe it was a mercy slap of the mat, but B. Courtney did not have P. Rowland pinned, and the ref was so far out of position to make the call. It was embarrassing.

Hey! At least the ref was on the correct side to see the phantom fall, unlike the ref in the Jenkins/Taylor NCAA final.
I guess he was going with the belief that the pinning area goes from the top of the shoulders to the bottom of the scapula, but even then it looked questionable.
I understand that it doesn't affect the match, but -- pause the action at 1:32, zoom in, and you'll see that both wrestlers have stepped out -- yet, the action was not stopped.
This is it and I think it could certainly could be argued he was pinned. Nowhere near “one of the worst calls ever.” Not even the worst of this year - Spencer Lee/McKee was worse.
