PSUers that have registered:

141: Scott Obendorfer
157: Brady Berge
165: Joe Lee (with the caveat that he's not yet enrolled)
285: Alex Nicholas

I believe dice indicated that he'll be attending the tournament, so hopefully we'll get some insights/reports on how the above do.

No Brady Berge in the brackets on track wrestling. Maybe he is wrestling a dual tonight-just kidding.

Also, just noticed that Ryan Preisch is in the bracket for 184. Maybe finally getting back into action after the injury.

Joe Lee pinned in 1:49 by Dellavecchia, unattached from Rider.

That dropped Joe into the consolations.

in R3 of consolations, he pinned Brad Nagy (Gannon) at 4:01. He'll face Spencer Nagy (Edinboro) in R4 of consolations.

Scott Obendorfer defeated Kole Krauss (MSU) in R1, 8-2. In R2 he defeated Jacob Zuller (Wyoming Sem), 9-2. In R3, he lost to Jonathan Gabriel (Navy), 8-5.

That dropped him into the consolations. In R3 of the consolations, he lost to Travis Layton (Rider), 7-0.

Solid tournament by Joe Lee so far.

Noticed that tOSU sent their redshirts. They seem to be doing ok. Ethan Smith/Rocky Jordan wrestle-off should be interesting in 2 years.

At 285, Alex Nicholas had a bye in R1. In R2 he lost to Gary Traub (Ohio State), 6-1.

In R2 of consolations, he was pinned by Brendan Furman (Finger Lakes) @ 2:07.

Berge shirt pull?

I doubt it. If this was the case Nolf would definitely be out for the year. Berge has been absent from other opens he was registered for. I’m starting to wonder about him, although we also wondered about VJ during his RS year.

And Joe Lee's tourney comes to an end. He forfeited to Ben Heyob. I have no idea why he forfeited. Perhaps the other guys wanted to get back to PSU.
Are wrestlers limited to 5 matches a day, if they reach that they have to forfeit?

Are wrestlers limited to 5 matches a day, if they reach that they have to forfeit?

Pretty close:

Rule 3, Section 22 (Tournaments -- Committee and Administration, Art. 5. Daily Match Limit. Wrestlers shall not compete in more than six matches in one competition day. Forfeits and medical forfeits do not count into the six-match limitation; all other matches shall count into the total. Any match forfeited because of the match limit shall not count as either a win or loss for either competitor and shall not be placed on the Individual Season Record Form.

For Joe Lee:
Match 1 - Homan
Match 2 - Dellavecchia
Match 3 - Brad Nagy
Match 4 - Spencer Nagy
Match 5 - Aidan Monteverdi

As such, it appears that he could have wrestled one more match.

There are places where Track shows RULE as a reason someone did not wrestle, which I interpreted to be they had reached the match limit.
