Big Ten Network: Former Ohio State standout James Laurinaitis and former Michigan player Braylon Edwards are joining the Big Ten Network as analysts.

FYI.

I cannot remover what schools they went to??

Northwestern? they have a good journalism school, Purdue? Illinois? Big 10 lax member, Johns Hopkins?? The smaller programs need their voice heard in this conference.

Both were great players for their respective programs. I think it's comical that James is referred to as a "standout" and Braylon is referred to only as a "player," especially when Braylon is a sensible choice and James is a head-scratcher. Guess it's all about the sell. And James needs more sell than Braylon at this point.

Let's just keep winning the B1G and maybe PSU will matter down the road like the other two. Maybe.

Hope this means more Ohio State and Michigan coverage, which BTN has been lacking in.
Clearly UM is under ranked, based up their last five years of stellar football performance.

And this is a big deal because...???

The only noticeable voice of OSU on the network right now is Stanley Jackson, who actually does a pretty good job (much more thoughtful than a guy like Dinardo). I can't even think of a Michigan voice that gets a whole lot of air time, although Jon Jansen was on some last year. Not exactly a heavy handed homer biased staff of analysts there.

PSU has contributions from Spice, MRob and Millen. It's not like we're under-represented

Yeah being that have won half of a National Championship in the last 60 years they are very under rated.

B1G network seems to go through a lot of people. I had seen Kyle Brady and thought he did a good job but haven't seen him in years.
We need a lot more Mrob he's very good. Less Millen. I've only seen Spice during the B&W telecast and was underwhelmed.
Don't like Stanley Jackson and I can't stand the Gumba from Rutgers.
I thought Jim Miller was pretty good and the LB'r from Illinois wasn't bad
My favorite by far is Howard Griffith.

I think for most these are entry level on air jobs. I don't think most of these guys really know what they are getting into. They don't realize how much off camera time and work it takes so after a year or so they move on.

Thats a good point.
Mrob is doing stuff for both B1G and NFL network, and in my biased opinion, doing a very good job.

Didn't you know every thing is a conspiracy and corrupt? They are doing an entire season of a show about the 2017 team but they still claim it is anti Penn State. Everyone out to get Penn State including the officials. It is a conspiracy and corrupt if the Big Ten uses an official from Ohio for an Ohio State - Penn State game but it not corrupt for Penn State to use a former players dad to officiate games at Penn State.

I thought it was Guman's Uncle?

Braylon is a real a$$hat. I guess his modeling career didn't work out. When playing for the Browns he said the Browns fans hated him because he played for Michigan, not because well thrown accurate passes were constantly bouncing off his hands. Nearly got into a fight with LeBron. There were other UM players on the Browns in the past that are revered such as Thom Darden and Steve Everitt, so hs argument holds no water.

When he is on, my volume will be on mute.

JL will be really supporting the analysis of tackles 10 yards past the line of scrimmage.
