Ferrari commits to Iowa

Now you're getting the hang of it.

They've gone on lock down over there since they've banned me. You might be waiting awhile. And if you have an ip address from Western PA you may never enter the arena... :)
I see. And that's fine. I'll still enjoy watching our 'special forces' go behind enemy lines to throw grenades.

New posters seem to have some restrictions on the volume of posts until they figure out that you're not a spammer.
Good intel. Thanks. I'm light on posts so far, so not sure how that'll factor in. Johnstownsteel shared that I may not get in at all due to them cracking down on posts from PA folk.

You really need to get a VPN. A good one will cost about $3/month and they'll never block your IP again.

Plus the fact some knuckleheads over on GIA think Kueter is going to wrestle 197 for them. I think there's a better chance of finding the Ark of the Covenant in Carver Arena than that happening.
I am visualizing all those melting faces when the Blue & White Stripes get all their hands raised :)

In Greek mythology the Graeae sisters shared one eye and one tooth. I guess in Roman mythology the Ferrari brothers shared one brain, and not a quality brain either.
Abby Normal ?? ....they are attracted to the females....mostly :)

I didn’t think I was defending anything. Just pointing out that the interview BK gave before the senior open was the cause for confusion. Listening to the interview and there is a plausible explanation for fans on GIA thinking he was talking 197 and not 97.

JS would argue about the color of the sky on a cloudless day if he wanted to. I didn’t think I was arguing at all. Ram took his cheap shot and I called him out. End of story in my book.
NO I WOULDNT

Gotcha, get a vpn and a neutral screen name. Obviously LionzRuleMAGAtimemania!!! Is going to draw more notice than bourbon n blues.

I like bourbon and blues. It’s pretty middle of the road and accurate. I also lived in iowa so I have no animosity towards the state, people or school. A good friend from PSU was going to grad school at Iowa while I was working out there.

It kind of gives me a somewhat different perspective, I think the big deal is I would does not have a professional sports program so the majority of sports fans Iowa fans.

There’s nothing wrong with that, but they put all their eggs in one basket, metaphorically speaking. I know Penn State graduates who are actually Notre Dame fans first, and Penn State football fans secondly.

It’s weird but it’s how they operate. There’s also light Penn State fans, but they’re Pittsburgh, Steeler, Sense and Philly fans. I mean the baseball team. We get this weird mishmash of different sports affiliation in Pennsylvania which might make us a little bit more open minded in certain ways.

I was censored dedicated, and if you take a sport like wrestling, which they dominated so long and what you could argue, they were historically the most successful team, you can see why they are somewhat the way they are.

Think Notre Dame fans in football or even Penn State football fans. It’s been a while since either of us have had national championship success, but we still think we’re one of the elite power teams.

Iowa has actually won national championships recently winning two in the last 14 seasons, however Penn State has won 10 of them. My comment that PSU in wrestling is like the SEC in football went over rather well as you can imagine.

Objective statements are not particularly well received over there. Unless of course you want to reminisce about mid 70s to the end of the millennium.

You have a refreshing angle on the rivalry, which I’ll bet many of their fans grudgingly, if quietly accept. The lack of pro sports teams certainly adds to their rabidness. I lived years in Columbus (prior to their NHL entry), and the overheated obsession with the Buckeyes was understandable, if grating. While Iowa’s mat success exceeds Penn State’s, with so much of it decades ago, it matters little in today’s thread wars. Your SEC analogy is clear and present and cuts them deep, even deeper than knowing 3 PA HS champs are the only reason 2010 wasn’t their last crown.

Will look into vpn for more reasons than this, but my username shouldn’t raise alarms. Just enjoy bucket list hikes with my son in western national parks. If allowed to speak there, they’ll learn my allegiance soon enough and be free to fire all the arrows in their quill. Ah, well. Off to cut several lawns on this fabulous day. Wishing the best for all Lions in today’s Final X!

Thanks, any great program will have an entitled fan base. I’d say ours is quite entitled now, except we’re winning and probably will for the foreseeable future.

The rest of the programs need to adapt and the fan bases need a balance between the want to win and acceptance of the results. The ceiling isn’t as high anywhere outside of psu.

So keep pushing and enjoy the great moments. It sounds arrogant but that’s the current environment in the sport .

They have some weird secret code over there. They might tell you to GTFO. That means they want you to post the Bo vs Brooks matches. When they tell you to GFY they want to see Starocci v Kemerer finals. If they tell you to do both they want the Lee v Ramos match with Mom busting up her glasses vid

If they call you a troll, they want you to come back with a different handle.

I can tell you with certainty that no one gives a heck about where our wrestlers went to high school, like at all. Hell, we could have a lineup full of PA kids for all that matters.

I appreciate the joke there though. Got a hearty laugh out of that one.

Happy to oblige. I’ve always felt underappreciated as a comic. Good to know your thoughts on a lineup flush with PA champs. TB certainly hasn’t won anything since 2010 without them. It may prove a sounder strategy than throwing all that NIL cash at one very odd, attention-seeking family.

I like the handle. As a youngster....my father never went anywhere. I'm being pretty literal too. Almost never got 5 miles from home. When I got my first real job....I got a Golden Eagle Pass and drove cross-country every summer for 3 years....hitting every National Park and National monument I could. Sleeping in my car and living on Honey and bread so my 200.00 would last as long as possible :). Year two I made it to the Oregon coast, down through California and back via Arizona , Utah and Colorado. The only park I missed was Glacier National :(. Years later my son wanted to do it....so 2 straight summers......off we went. Great memories. Hail to the National Parks :)
