Headliner for 11/24 announced!

Does anybody without the last name Dean feel this will be remotely competitive?

I’d say seeing how Dean just won SR Nationals and was well on his way to teching Lujan before a comeback pin in the recent 8-man FLO bracket, he’s probably close to the best domestic competition for DT we could hope for right now.

Zahid and Burroughs are set to compete about a week before already and Cox hasn’t been in action for awhile...all that considered, I’m happy with the matchup!

Except for the dude across the mat from him at M2, Dieringer, and money-for-Zs-nose, but point taken.

Zahid, Myles Martin, Bo Nickal, Alex Dieringer and a few others would beg to differ.

Taylor is the best in the world at his weight. And it’s not close. It would be hard to find anyone on the planet that would be a good match for him.

Of course not. This is what Taylor did to Yazdani (86 kg world champ in 2017 and 2019):

Dean could make Taylor work. That's about the most that can be expected from anybody at his weight.

I want Jake vs Kerkvliet. The (other) master vs the Paduan.

I know, weird. But I want to see that. Varner on top of his game was frightening. His ankle picks rival...dare I say it...Cael’s.

I want to see if Kerkvliet can get to his offense, without exposing himself too much.

I'm as big a PSU homer as the next guy, but do we know enough about DT's recovery from last year's disaster to confidently say he's back to his pre-injury preeminence? I hope you're right. But I gotta admit that Dean has looked very impressive since his surprise emergence from retirement.

We don’t know for sure. The sample size is small. However he looked every bit his old self against Martin. But yes, we probably need to see more before we can say for sure that he is still the best in the world. Although I am confident he still is.

Taylor is the headliner. Dean is the Lion's steak.

Where he wrecked Pedro Ceballos Fuentes of Venezuela, and Yurieski Torreblanca Queralta of Cuba. Both of whom are legit top 10 opponents.
Yeah, I'd pick both of those guys over Dean or PD3, etc. Torreblanca especially is a beast. David had to work.

I'd say Dake and Yazdani especially wouldn't agree. Burroughs as well. It's definitely close tho. I'll be rooting for DT in 2021 tho. I'm assuming he techs Dean if he wants.
