would the PSU defense have stopped Kentucky from scoring.
IMO, if they pLayed no better than they did, I would think 50/50, even though their passing game was marginal IMO.
I was surprised again when Jimmy kicked the Field goal. Should have went for it. None the less you make a good point.would the PSU defense have stopped Kentucky from scoring.

Who knows but having a guy try a field goal that is 0-2 versus a hot offense made no sense to me. Have to go on 4th down. Rewards versus risk is just too obvious.would the PSU defense have stopped Kentucky from scoring.

Wasn’t a clearly wrong decision either way. Had 3 TOs and our D wasn’t giving up much.I was surprised again when Jimmy kicked the Field goal. Should have went for it. None the less you make a good point.
depends on how much time was left, forcing their QB to throw.
Cats would have kicked a FG to win, they would have gotten that far down the field.
From a Ky Fan.......Pen state would probably have won. Unfortunately.would the PSU defense have stopped Kentucky from scoring.

We could not stop them when we absolutely knew what play was coming. Hard to believe we would have sopped them when they had options other than run up the gut. The "injuries" to their two secondary guys on our last drive gave them the dead time 10 minutes to regain their focus and remember how badly they wanted to win the game.
