Illinois dual thread - Feb 16

Son of a bitch. Well, I'm not watching so I don't know if it was or was not, but it was CALLED a takedown on the mat and it probably shouldn't have been overturned, but......it sounds like Sealey did MUCH better today and that kid is pretty experienced and not chopped liver.

That's an Angel special. He's actually not bad on the mat. It's when the action stops that he loses his mind. Which is when the best refs shine.

His reviews over the years have been horrendous. Whatever everyone thinks occurred on the mat, Angel will invariably call the opposite.

Oh well, doesn't actually change the action that happened. Sealey looked mediocre until he didn't.

Can't do that angle, he had 20 plus seconds to get the take that you call a take down , it's a moot point by your bad call. It's a none review moment.

It can’t be overturned but it was. Sealy already had TD criteria. You can’t just flip over back into a whizzer.

How does Angel even continue to be allowed to referee?

When Byers equivocates on the mic, it’s highly annoying. I get trying to present both sides, but you don’t need to do it 37 times

Why? He's a true freshman wrestling a 6th year senior after losing his initial dual pretty convincingly. I'm not watching, only listening, but it sounds like he wrestled a pretty decent match.
He's taking a redshirt, the dual is not going to be close and he has a hard time committing to an attack. If there is ever a time to let it fly it's now. The good news is that he doesn't have to worry about and high-pressure matches for a couple years.
