after that he said J'Dens out. Sounds like he missed the weigh in time.
The key phrase here is "on time."
There was an incident a few years ago in Hershey where a wrestler failed to make weight on time and forfeited the entire tournament. He was running around the arena with headphones on and didn't hear the announcement for his weigh-in -- and his coaches couldn't find him in time. He got to the weigh-in room as they were closing his weight.

Go ahead and hammer me. I think he had no chance (none) vs Snyder and suspect Cox's subconscious knew as well. A wrestler at this level with his experience simply doesn't do this without there being a bigger story.

...opening session on Thursday ...alightweight - I think from Okla St -was a no show when called ... they waited and then raised his opponent’s hand in victory... about a half hour later the match was wrestled! ... the original no- show won!... I believe they said the team was delayed on the NJ Tpk coming to the arena!... I never learned whether the original winner had to agree with the decision to allow his opponent to compete or whether the officials made him wrestle... oh, well...

What makes the whole thing even more bizarre is that he trains at the OTC and is coached by OTC coaches. How the he'll did they not get him to weigh ins on time.
This is a joke. Sounds like USA wrestling wants Snyder at 97kg even tho Cox was getting the better of him. This is the biggest story of the trials. The hell with who makes it. This is a typical US wrestling farce.
He was getting the better of Snyder at the otc. Everyone I’ve seen was picking Cox. Only our country would screw this up this bad.
