Hey all, who here thinks Moore's ranking should be lowered due to the loss against Cassar?
Lets forget about the #1 ranking....... lets talk about the top seed at Big Tens...... big ten matches and head to head results matter the most.
If Cassar is the PSU entry is he given the top seed with no Big Ten losses (5-0 or 6-0) and a head to head victory over Moore?
I heard Moore had the flu...

I agree there is not an easy answer for 197 right now. That is why I asked this board. I think Darmstadt or Cassar should be ranked #1. I say this because I like rankings to be a ranking of ''what have you done for me lately in the last two/three weeks." Everyone knows in march that whoever gets hot usually makes a strong run towards the top of the weight class so I think the rankings should be based on momentum.who is your #1? can't lower Moore without raising someone else, and whoever that is will draw questions too. No easy answer for #1 at 197 right now.

Who do you think should be ranked ahead of him? My answer would be NO ONE based on actual results this season.
I agree with those who feel Moore still deserves to be #1. Looking at the top 5 guys ranked at 197 with record and top 10 wins/losses
Moore: 18-1 Wins--Haught (F), Wilcke Loss--Cassar [2-1]
Haught 22-2 Wins--none; Losses--Miklus (F), Moore (F) [0-2]
Darmstadt 21-1 Wins--Miklus (MD), Rasheed; Loss--Mattiace (MD) [2-1]
Miklus 19-3 W--Haught (F), Weigel; L--Warner (MD), Darmstadt (MD), Chaid
Weigel 8-1 W--Wilcke, Macchiavello; L--Miklus [2-1]
I don't see how anyone else can make a real case to be #1 at this point. Cassar is 16-2 with 2 top 10 wins--Moore and Mattiace, but 2 "bad" losses.

Yes. A ranking is about current performance. Some progress and get better while others fail to. I can’t think of any sport that ranking is mainly based on body of work.I think Darmstadt or Cassar should be ranked #1. Don’t forget the roids because our guys are all huge and we have ties to MMAPlus that long bus ride and Cael bumped the heat in Rec Hall to 85? Gotcha....

yep, and a long bus ride. definitely an inferior ref.I heard Moore had the flu...
That’s a great question. Flo mentioned that They simply don’t rank two wrestlers. I am honestly not sure why they don’t.If ranking is based on body of work, and Shak's body of work includes 11 pins, how is he not ranked in the top 20?
Kidding aside, are excessive temps at Rec Hall really a thing? Was surprised to hear the commentators mention that as impacting the tOSU wrestlers the other night. Seems it would impact our guys equally, not to mention agitating the fans.... Cael bumped the heat in Rec Hall to 85
Under any circumstances, any amount of pressure, our guys have ice running through their veins. So, yes, the high temperature could have affected Ohio State more.Kidding aside, are excessive temps at Rec Hall really a thing? I hold Ryan & Jaguars equally & totally responsible for the volume of hot air. They will probably expect to be compensated for reducing the energy cost .True that and it was rather warm in Rec that night. I just assumed that because it was cold outside they cranked the heat up and didn't account for all of the hot air we would be producing with our loud voices, aided of course, by Ryan and Jaggers.![]()
Can't raise BJC temp enough to overcome Iowa sauna training.Kidding aside, are excessive temps at Rec Hall really a thing? Was surprised to hear the commentators mention that as impacting the tOSU wrestlers the other night. Seems it would impact our guys equally, not to mention agitating the fans.
