Lavert Hill: "Penn State disrespected us last year."

Not hard to see why when Franklin ran a play with 1 second left on the clock at Michigan's goal line.

As a Michigan fan, im just happy Penn State is done being great

How exactly do you figure that? Looking st the rosters, which team do you think will be better in the next year or two. You guys better win this year while you have your rent a QB and a veteran team, cause next year looks a lot leaner.

I hope we disrespect them again in front of their zombie crowd.

And Trace hopefully punts the ball into their crowd at the end of the game.

You’re about to be 3-12 against teams that matter and you’re talking about how much better you’re going to be. Lol so typical penn state.

Let's play the game first.

....and the last time you won a BIG championship???

....played in the BIG championship game?....oh that is an easy one...NEVER!LOL...Typical Michigan Man Pathetic to the end!

No they didn't. That's factually incorrect.

Michigan kneeled on the ball twice on their final possession in 2016 (despite being fairly deep into PSU territory). PSU obviously didn't do the same thing last year.

Michigan --- like most football teams --- has its pride. I don't understand when coaches try to stick in the knife at the end unnecessarily. People remember.
Maybe it’s simply because Franklin doesn’t like Harbaugh and all the hype he gets. When I coached basketball one of the other coaches was written about in the paper like he was some kind of god and he acted like he was. When we had a chance to run it up against him, we did because he was an asshat. We have no idea how coaches act around other coaches, but if you’re a dick you better be ready to take a beating when you’re down. And maybe Franklin’s a dick to other coaches so that’s why teams run it up on him when they get a chance. Sometimes it comes down to good old fashioned dislike.

It stops when you don't call a time out up 56-0?
You do realize he called the timeout before the kick right? What if that first kick had been missed and the second one was made? Would anyone be talking about it? What if he would have called the time out right after the previous play ended? No one would be taking about that either. If that’s the best you got you might want to go back to your own board.

Yes they did, no matter how you try to twist the facts. You will notice that there is no defined timing component to running up the score, and you most definitely don't get to insert one to fit your false narrative.

"To engage in the practice - usually by coaching decision - of scoring more points than needed in a one-sided contest."

Since Michigan wasn't kneeling on the ball any earlier than their last possession, they were running up the score by definition. The funny thing is, what Michigan did to PSU, running the same play and laughing, was 100x worse than what PSU did to Michigan. Michigan was disrespectful, PSU played with respect to the final whistle. Last year Michigan should have manned up and said "that sucked but we reap what we sow, we are even now."

Congrats on your one big season, it was impressive.

What you say about Michigan never playing in a B1G title game is true, 100%. They need to and there's no guarantee they will this year or ever.

What we know as fact is that CJF is 3-11 against OSU, Michigan, and Michigan State and he is a 10.5 point underdog and starring 3-12 in the face.

His 3 wins were against Harbaugh's worst team at Michigan, Dantonio's worst team at Michigan State, and arguably Meyer's worst team, although that's debatable.

You realize Franklin had a 65 man scholarship roster when he took over and yet has managed to win the BIG, have two 11 win seasons, and make NY6 bowls. Harbaugh without having to rebuild from sanctions has done NONE of those things. This team is young and bereft of senior leadership - the seniors were recruited during sanctions - and yet they’re 6-2 and have an outside chance at either another 11 win or 10 win season.

Not winning a conference title in15 years has spooked them. They hear footsteps in the dark.
Really, has it been that long? I don't follow college football too much, so there had to have been years in that time frame they (UM) were hamstrung with sanctions, reduced scholarships, etc,. right? Weren't OSU and PSU on some type of penalties during that time period? Didn't they take advantage of those down years of those two opponents and just clean up on the Big 10? I mean they are MICHIGAN!!!! How could they possibly have NOT won a Big10 title in 15 YEARS!!! Certainly, that little brother from East Lansing wasn't good enough to win any titles during that time period.

Are you sure it has been 15 YEARS????;)

This is idiotic too. There is nothing wrong with running the same play over and over. If the players are laughing about it, so be it. Stop them. Can’t stop them? Get better players. It’s not Michigan’s fault we couldn’t stop the play. Part of not running up the score should not include attempting to call plays that won’t work.

If you can’t win the Big10 East this year then Harbaugh needs to go. Ohio State is not a great team this year, PSU is a seriously flawed team, you already manhandled MSU. This is his chance to finally accomplish something meaningful at Michigan. I really don’t see us posing much of a challenge unless harbaugh coaches himself out of the game. Ohio State will pose a bigger threat but not much. Again, as long as Harbaugh doesn’t coach himself out of it you should finally win something. We’ll see if he can do it.

Needs to go? C'mon.

If they lose on a last second field goal to OSU, would it hurt? Yes. Opportunity lost? Yes.

Michigan will lose some junior stars like Rashan Gary (haven't missed him) Devin Bush (hard to replace) and David Long, but they are loaded just about everywhere and the only team who has cracked Don Brown at all was Penn State last year.

They return 9/10 in the two deep on the offensive line, bring in a ton of talent on the D line, and if Patterson left (why would he?) their two guys behind him are better runners, with stronger arms, and about 20-40 more pounds.

Michigan will 100% be in the B1G hunt next year. Their two tough road games (at Wisconsin and at PSU) are splittable with Wisconsin taking a step back and they get OSU and MSU at home.

Next year it looks like this to me

1. Michigan and PSU- Penn State loses total gem at qb, Michigan loses MLB and possibly 1 or 2 lock down corners.
2. OSU loses Haskins and possibly Meyer
3. MSU returns a lot, but I am not buying who they have at qb and they play at Michigan, at OSU, and travel to Wisconsin.

He liked Bo? Kewl. Doesn't change him as a person to me.

You are talking about Bo right... because he knew about and enabled Larry Nassar?

When Joe was faced with a similar situation, it's well known that he properly reported per state law, university policy, and current NCAA guidelines. I'm actually ashamed Joe liked Bo.

Agreed, but then don't brag about it to the media after the game, especially when your opponents were short handed due to sanctions and injuries.

You clearly missed the point of my post.

.

Michigan loses starting RB, starting slot, starting RT.
Lose Gary, Winovich, Kinnel. Bush, Hudson, Hill, and Long all likely to go pro.

And I like once PSU is losing McSorley, he's a "total gem". After Michigan fans have been saying how he's a lucky arm-punter and isn't very good for 3 years.

Whoa! Where are you getting that Bo knew about and enabled Larry Nasser? That’s a pretty serious charge.

I’d only challenge the notion that all of four of those guys are going pro. I suspect Hill and Hudson will stay.

Hudson isn't leaving and Long and or Hill will stay. Also, Grant Perry a big loss? Probably shows a lack of knowledge here.

I always thought McSorely was good and those Michigan fans were wrong. I also think they will be more explosive next year which will help. My guess is they lose Sanders, but you would probably know better than me.

James Franklin has never beaten a ranked team on the road in his entire career and hasn't beaten Michigan, OSU, or MSU on the road...given that, it will be tough seeing him winning another B1G

PSU stomped Northwestern on the road last year. They ended up winning 10 games and ranked.

When you talk about Franklin’s record you act like there were no sanctions levied against Penn State or that they had little to no effect. What should be our senior class and the leaders of the team is virtually non-existant. Once this is corrected, and it’s on its way to being fixed, Penn State will start winning a lot of those close losses. I hope you realize Franklin has accomplished A LOT more than Harbaugh while rebuilding a sanction depleted roster.

There could be some validity there, but he lost 2 last year and he's starring at 3 this year as a 10.5 point dog...still have to play the game.

I don't argue his recruiting and ability to get talent, but his in game coaching is puke level and has to be a concern.

Let him go, keep him, I don’t particularly care to be honest. He certainly isn’t the coach you guys (and to be honest, I) thought you were getting. He needs to make something happen this year.

I don’t disagree with that either. Better to keep your mouth shut and just do your thing, but that doesn’t really seem to happen much in this era.
