People are focusing on the wrong thing. Why go for two ending the game if you don't make it when an extra point gives you a chance? This quite literally is the dumbest thing Franklin has done as a coach and he brought John Donovan will him to State College and didn't fire him after one season. Unfortunately, being an idiot doesn't justify firing someone for cause. I wish it did.
