What was result? Dec, Maj, TF, F?

This shouldn't be too surprising. He said in the offseason that he could go 133.He looks small for 141 no less 149 but looks can be deceiving I guess
Why don't they have these extra matches all the time? Best to do before the main action.
Never knew his real name; always called him, “Dandy.”I know its board consensus that we need 8 scoring wrestlers to win a NC* this year....but if we get no points at 125 and 149, I dont even know if we can finish 2nd.

Remember that well, blew my mind at the time, like “sure coach I can take him down as many times as you‘d like”Ed Ruth, too. The time that the majored his opponent on demand when he looked at Casey in the NCAA finals comes to mind. He took the dude down 3 times in the last 30 seconds, maybe less.
I would like to believe that the staff is working CStar hard before these matches. maybe taking a little from the young bull because seems to be a little off from his feet. Where his recent freestyle work would suggest he should go on the mat with distinct advantages in nearly every match.
Tom, you will never know...as always, you live up to your reputation.
Beating chance isnt hype. He was 18-0 last season.Had there not been the preseason hype regarding Starocci, his performances so far would represent a nice start. But they simply have not been at the atmospheric level that was forecasted.
Again , only listening to audio telecast, but the Gardner match is a really good example of what sucks about Folk vs Free. Gardner deserved to be awarded the win in regulation (and would have on criteria in free), but there was never even a stall call on Wisconsin wrestler despite initiating none of the action in neutral and only countering (not legal under free or folk rulebook - both wrestlers are required by rule to maintain half the attacks which the Wisconsin wrestler clearly did not do - he only defensively countered - but no stall calls?).
Gardner maintained all the attacks in SV and got the TD, but Gardner dominated that match and it really is bad for folk to reward that type of bullshit wrestling that forces Gardner to effectively win the match twice.

Berge’s defense is outstanding - he stays calm and works his way out of situations12-0 plus a huge takedown discrepancy was impressive. Or guys are getting the work they need.
Nick and Aaron were once again other worldly
Loved what I saw from Berge and Beard
Many other solid performances
After firmly blowing the steam whistle on the Seth train, that performance brought me back down to earth hard. I don't think he could have handled Hillger today. It seems 50% of it is in his head, just a complete lack of aggression in neutral and no explosion of the bottom against a non starter. It left me scratching my head.
Has anyone explained what the “cleared” means? Is this making weight, or some COVID thing?Forfeit by PSU @ 125
0-6, Wisky
And Won the Scuffle, how many TFR can say that? Agree, hype was earned, now just gotta find that intensity from last year.Beating chance isnt hype. He was 18-0 last season.
On the hype train. JB, willie, all the rankers, etc.
I get what your saying but he earned the hype in my mind with his body of work and what was leaking out of the room.
Many matches are also a testament to the need for the 3 point takedown. Three takedowns and three free releases should not result in a 6-3 score, which after the first takedown by the openent brings it to 6-5. 5 takedowns to none, with free releases should not result in a 5 point lead and so on...
youUnlike Freestyle, they don't even give an important thing like "Criteria" to the party with all the higher pointed moves.... Folk Officials also reward stalling and don't enforce rule as written in the rulebook in Folk (each wrestler is supposed to carry 50% of offensive attacks - counters don't count - or be penalized for stalling)... resulting in the bullshit wrestling matches like you saw today in Gardner's match. Gardner dominated that match from start-to-finish, but because of bullshit officiating and refusing to call stalling as written in, and the spirit of, the rulebook, Gardner is effectively forced to win the match twice - in regulation and SV.
