Michigan at Penn State - most expensive ticket at PSU ever?

It's amazing that despite all the evidence to the contrary, they will still argue that Pitt was the most expensive ticket at PSU ever. They sure are a delusional bunch!

The real question is, will Rice be the cheapest Pitt ticket ever? (not counting the groupon that actually paid you to go to a Pitt game)

Bought my pitt ticket outside the stadium for 50 bucks 3 hours before the game

It was as far as single game face value price. No game has ever sold for that much. They were more expensive then the Michigan game.

1) They never say "face value"
2) Who cares about face value? It's secondary market that is the real indicator. PSU just started this variable pricing scheme, so it's disingenuous to compare face value this year to EVERY other year. It doesn't matter what the face value is on the secondary market, demand truly dictates the price. Demand is clearly higher for Michigan.
3) It was an early season day game, when the weather is all but guaranteed to be nice, and you didn't have to book a hotel. There was also some novelty to the opponent, since it's been so long since they've played. But if the game happened every year, the price of the ticket would drop like a rock... especially considering Pitt's downward trajectory.

Phil Collins cares about face value.
