Spencer looked very slow of foot. Don't know what's up with him. Flu doesn't last a month. Credit to Rivera.
I'll start...it was the flu, head cold, pneumonia, bronchitis, ankle sprain, tweaked his knee, had some bad fish for lunch, just had a huge argument with his girlfriend, misplaced his lucky shoes...
That's impossible that Lee and Warner both lost this weekend. According to HR, Iowa develops wrestlers and we can only recruit. Both Lee and Warner were ranked in the top 10 overall recruits. What am I missing??!! 
I think you get more excited when Iowa loses than when PSU wins. Seems odd
True. But only crazycatfan predicted Rivera winning today. And Lee isn't coming back from a serious knee injury this year. Rivera is obviously legit. Wowser.

According to HR, every Iowa wrestler who performs badly must be sick.
Interesting and surprising result for sure, but I’ll still take Lee at nationals. He’s a great wrestler, but just didn’t look like himself today.
They are all sure Spencer is sick. I am not joking, either.
Spencer Lee can still be a 2X Midlands champ, though!

I can guarantee one thing. If there are any excuses to be made, you won't hear them from Spencer.
There's a reason most every National champ doesn't go undefeated .... it's really hard to do. One loss doesn't mean a thing.

LOL, on use of "digress" versus "regress". It's a trite comment, but just too funny.
Rivera with a great gameplan that played to his strength. Avoided ties, quick shots from space and fast finish.
Impressive that he didn't seem to have any problem on bottom against Lee. Almost out from the start and then on the restart, worked hard and got the escape.

Wish you guys would take it easy Iowa. Midlands is the "toughest" tourney around

We all knew that Rivera is very much legit. Just didn't expect him to beat Lee, especially so convincingly.
DeSanto looked good, but once NaTo went out I don't think there was another ranked wrestler in the field.
DeSanto gets Lizak next. That should be interesting. And by interesting I mean it'll resemble a rodeo.
Should be interesting, but at this point I'd take Jersey Kid every day.
I should've said championship level legit. I didn't think Lee would have a close match, let alone get handled like that this year.

Sasso with the TD in overtime, wins 6-4 over Lugo. Lugo looked tough this weekend.
We should all feel blessed to watch the type of wrestling we see every time out in contrast to the mind numbing style of Matthew Kolodzik.
