Amine is already practicing the circle shuffle 😏Multiple possibilities we may see Cael v DT coaching vs each other in critical matchups:
Everyone has circled:
174: Levi v Hamiti, probable 2/3 semi.
285: Kerk v Henderickson, probable 2/3 semi.
But also lurking:
184: Starocci v Plott, possible 1/4 semi
141: Bartlett v Jamison, possible 2/7 quarter
165: Mesenbrink v Amine, possible 1/8 quarter.
Ayala-Bouzakis could be before that. Puncher’s chance and all ..
Kai Orine could take Bouzakis out in the first round. He finished 7th last year. He started the year at 141 and dropped back to 133 in December.Ayala isn't going anywhere near Bouzakis. Take him down let him up. Bouzakis is dangerous for anyone who has not felt him...or Davis of course 😂
Imagine how much time he’ll waste once he learns how to read them.Does anyone else realize just what these seeds have done to MSU158s math laboratory? The poor thing has to go back down there and spend 12 hours a day until next Thursday working out new equations and dissertations because Kerk didn't get the 4, and we got qualifiers for the one seeds in round one in 4 different weight classes, with favorable draws in 8 out of 10 weights.
The poor guy is over there now wringing his hands with textbooks and studies scattered everywhere
They met twice in 2023 at 165. Hamiti beat him 4-3 in the dual and beat him 9-6 at Big 10's that year.I saw possible Hamiti/Kennedy quarter. No idea if the two ever met but I think Kennedy matches up well and could upset him.
Best in recent memory. 125-141-157-165-174-184-285 all will make the finals if they wrestle "great". 149 and 197 worst case scenario 3rd. 133 mid AA. What a fu$$ing team!
Oh OK thanks. I still wouldn't be surprised if it happened. They met twice in 2023 at 165. Hamiti beat him 4-3 in the dual and beat him 9-6 at Big 10's that year.
Interesting match. Bailey isn't going to bore in so no throw by. Without the cheap TD Ayala can't wrestle from a knee and will have to chase a retreating Bailey. If I was game planning this one I would tell Ayala to center and circle, chose down for the escape and in the third look for Bailey to come out of his retreat and step forward in small increments. His throw-by should be there in the 3rd.Nasir Bailey gets the 3...hmmm....let's see if we get Bailey vs Ayala...
Pinto is a scary 8th. He tries to hit home runs. Keegan will not want to roll with him. Pinto doesn't have the makeup to be safe and methodical. But he's scary in any given moment. I think he matches up better with Keegan than Levi.
Hamiti was an eyelash from beating O'Toole. Hamiti has improvedOh OK thanks. I still wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
Import this into EXCEL format & email the file to that MSU158 clown.
Since Iowa has managed 1 second place finish when PSU is winning the team title i am going with Iowa consistency and figuring they finish 3rd or lower.Feels like it will be Oklahoma State or Nebraska.
Iowa, with a weak 125, no 141 (edit), Teemer vs Shapiro Rd 2, Arnold doing Arnold things . . . .
Iowa needs to peak to take 2nd I feel.
If Kueter (nice path) & someone else goes on a serious run, Iowa could finish 2nd.
Incontrera in the first round has some good wins so Kennedy needs to be ready. Has wins over 4 seed Thompson, 5 seed Ruiz, 14 seed Singleton, and 20 seed BraunagelOh OK thanks. I still wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
Bouzakis pinned him in 50 sec last year ... but that could've been a quick cradle for him, not necessarily indicative of this year's match.Kai Orine could take Bouzakis out in the first round. He finished 7th last year. He started the year at 141 and dropped back to 133 in December.
Not so fast my friend. He faces the Carter slayer in round 1. Donnell Washington is Gabe’s proxy for CS. Looking forward to his twitter prediction of taking Washington’s head . . . then losing yet again. 🤣Arnold got the 11 seed, on Keckeisen's side, has permanently ducked Carter. Gets Foca in Round 2.
Last year we had Carter projected to not AA so that would make sense.
I should’ve included perennial Top 32 RutgersWas this already said?

when/where will the pdf brackets be available?
They are up on Trackwrestling. You can print from therewhen/where will the pdf brackets be available?
Munoz is also less than 100%If he were 100% I’d be happy with the draw. At less than 100% Munoz 2nd round and Little in quarters will be tough.
He’ll it’s the NCAAs, gotta do what you gotta do!
Stout vs Stout round 2 - Father’s dream or nightmare scenario?
133 = NailsBarr will not see anyone he has not beaten until the finals, if he gets that far. I think his draw is rather favorable. Davis will be interesting, his draw isn't easy but nobody at 133 has an easy draw.
Nightmare scenario. Only fun when it’s in the basement.Stout vs Stout round 2 - Father’s dream or nightmare scenario?
Kai likes to go big and that might be a dynamite match!Kai Orine could take Bouzakis out in the first round. He finished 7th last year. He started the year at 141 and dropped back to 133 in December.
If Kerk beat Gable it would be more likely they meet in the semis. Think about that.
As long as Angel isn't officiating I am good with that matchup.Luke will have to beat Caleb Smith again in the quarters
Last year we had Carter projected to not AA so that would make sense.
If Penn State wrestles to seed and matches their 34 bonus points from last year (with Carter wrestling on one leg) they would be looking at 191 points. Just let that sink in for a moment! Edit: two sources mentioned 34 points and one mentioned 35, so I modified my numbers accordingly. Was this already said?

I like your thinking, 12 guys will definitely set the record. I still pull for Nevilles and Bearclaw, family is family.Coaches ranks, RPI:
Lilledahl 2, 10
Davis 5, 5
Beau 2, 5
Van Ness 3, 2
Kasak 1, 1
Mesenbrink 1, 1
Bearclaw 4, 3
Haines 2, 3
Carter 1, 7
Barr 4, 10
Kerk 2, 3
Snacks 14, 11
Gotta think OKST will score 2.5 pts more bonus than Iowa. Was this already said?

Penn State's Average Seed = 2.6. Who has the second, third and fourth best average seeding? I'm also curious if anyone has posted the number of wrestlers each of the top teams has qualified.
Seed / # of wrestlers
#1 4
#2 2
#3 2
#4 1
#8 1

Obviously good to qualify 10 wrestlers, but qualifying 10 studs is better:Teams that qualified all 10 of their wrestlers are Penn State, Northern Iowa, Ohio State, and Cornell.
@wrestleknownothing I brought your post over here from the Intermat forum because the data you posted is fascinating. I can't believe Penn State has an average seed of 2.6. That is crazy.

They get a kid to the blood round this way.Kinda nasty of NCAA to make the Stout brothers face each other in Round 2. They really couldn't have swapped Luke with Little or Munoz or Salazar?
