Got my Rutgers season tickets. I live in NJ and like to watch other Big 10 teams whoop up on them. My laminated tickets feature the male athlete of the year! Also as an interesting aside, I was watching a new TV show, The Rookie, which features a 40 year old recently divorced guy who gets trapped in a bank robbery and decides to sell his construction company in Western PA and move to LA to become the oldest rookie cop in LAPD history. In the first episode they say he went to Penn State and majored in pre-law. Later in the episode he encounters a huge violent angry man on a domestic violence call and notices the guy is wearing a rubber sweatsuit. He tells the guy he knows all about cutting weight because he wrestled in college. He must have been a Fritz era guy based on his age! We are.....!!

Why wouldn’t you put the now famous picture of Bo being held up by Cael at the top? One of the most memorable moments in NCAA history. Nah... let’s put the second place dude that got pinned on it instead.

I have stared at these pictures for hours and still can't find PD3. He is probably under the pile holding up the platform.
Looks like an Oklahoma singlet, maybe, but I can't think of why anyone from this year's (or last year's) Okie team would be on there.

Aside from the difficulty in deciphering who some of these guys are, the NCAA’s choices here are baffling to me. Seems like the clearest choice would be to depict all of last year’s champs. If they’re trying to promote guys we’ll see this season, it would make sense to go with #1 ranked at each weight. Perhaps they’re trying to avoid it being a predominantly PSU poster?
Because the large majority of the wrestling world “hates our guts.”. Penn State fans are sufficiently engaged in the product. Gotta nudge the others out of their stupor.
If row 1 isn't Jordan Wood, it's his doppelganger. My kid wrestled him often in days past and I know him, very nice kid.
You're right, it looks like Haines in row 3 in his Solanco singlet. Maybe that's why Wood is in his Boyertown singlet. They may be looking for photos with a certain expression, rather than wearing their college colors.
It's an NCAA ad, not a PSU ad. They can put on it who they want. I doubt there's more than a couple percent of all fans that can name more than two or three guys on the whole image. Folks here are elite, and can get more .

God bless. I can't do it anymore. The atmosphere is annoying, the fans are ill-informed on both rules and college wrestling (for example, people on the Rutgers board think the new 285 is going to roll over Fresno State's 285 - whoever it may be - and those are the "informed" Rutgers fans) but are very vocal in their ignorance and the RAC is a firetrap since they eliminated the center aisles on the lower levels. I went for Lehigh season tix this year. Not much more of a drive and a better schedule.

Nothing against those 2, but certainly curious to have 2 guys in their HS singlets who have yet to place -- and no Bo, Spencer, Zahid, Yianni. Gross, Wreck, Micic, Hidlay ...
Well, Ohio State may very well have been the best not good enough to be champion team, ever. We all know OSU is the Big10 icon, so this is kind of like a celebration of Ohio State's place in the current wrestling hierarchy - second place.
There is not A Hawkeye in that picture. Spencer Lee, the most dominant wrestler at last year's nationals, should have been front and center
