Great showing for PSU. Assuming Frank stays healthy, is Pico's amateur wrestling career over? (Other than maybe helping to try to qualify the weight?) I can't remember what Pico had said about his plans. From a fan's selfish point of view, I wish Pico would stay in wrestling for longer.
anyone can qualify the spot but frank is the only one that can go to Rio now barring an injury. so wisdom says he is traveling overseas. But I would hope we send any and all we can afford to increase our countries chances.

3 FS weights tomorrow on similar schedule and on same places. Get that spyker...the same times and the same places with brackets on track.
I hope our young guys give Junior/cadet worlds a run too...Bo, Nolf, Hall, Caesar, JG, cenzo, cortez all should give it ago.

ejb... Thanks for the pick me up. Kellen Russell... who's been wrestling internationally since he left college... I sadly omitted. Unbelievable run through the stacked field at the Olympic Trials. Frank defense is what Brent Metcalf's used to be. Almost impenetrable.
Pretty sure the Mongolian tourney is the last weekend in April, and the Turkish tournament is the 1st weekend in May.
To qualify the weight of 65 kg for the Olympics for the USA... an American has to place 3rd or better in a pre-Olympic Tournament in Mongolia or 2nd or 1st in a pre-Olympic tournament in Turkey:
(For Frank Molinaro to fulfill a dream and go to the Olympics... I hope the USA team pulls all the stops to qualify 65 kgs and the other 8 weight classes they need to qualify, both men's and women's weight classes. )

Perhaps - But sometimes students can take finals early if they have a conflict.
Taking a test early can work reasonably well for one class and it's final. But, it could be a challenge losing the final week of review classes and scheduling finals for every class a week early.
Hope it works out for Zain.
If the NCAA and Mr. Emmert would allow us to use the UNC model, or maybe the SEC model can't one of the TAs take his finals for him?
It doesn't have to be the winner, but only one wrestler can compete for a country at any weight.
QUALIFICATION SYSTEM – GAMES OF THE XXXI OLYMPIAD – RIO 2016
The tripartite gets a minimum of four, maximum of eight spots to give. The host has four spots to give. However, for every spot they earn at a qualifying tournament, they give one free spot back to the tripartite.
If Wikipedia is to be trusted, Brazil has already qualified five wrestlers (130 greco and 58, 63, 69 & 75 women) so the tripartite has eight bids to give across all three events.
It appears that not one country has qualified all 18 spots.
