Oregon and ASU handling coaching for bowl games really differently

Todd Graham will coach ASU in bowl game - his last game.

Oregon will have NEW guy coach the bowl game.

normally the interim coaches do bowl games. both schools handling this very different than typical. have to say i cannot recall a new coach ever taking a bowl game like Oregon is doing. new guy has to learn the old offense by bowl game. certainly not enough time to put in a new offense by the new coach. some of the bowl games are a week after final exams.

Iirc, the Oregon "new" guy is an Assistant Coach who was promoted, Mario Cristobal.

ASU fired Graham, and replaced him with a CEO. All of their assistants are staying and Graham got a nice parachute. The new Oregon head coach, Mario Christobol, was already an assistant coach at Oregon... so it’s not a stretch for him to start his head coach career in the bowl game.
