I saw CSN; CSNY; Crosby and Nash; Nash; Stills; Young; and Stills/Young Band. The last one was particularly rare. Their only tour in 1976 was cancelled by Young's mid-tour departure. I saw show 10 of 19. Somehow never saw Crosby without at least one of the others.Q Who sang at the Last Supper?
A Peter, Paul, and Mary. 60's humor.
If you go the folk or folk-rock route, I've been an eternal Crosby, Stills and Nash devotee with a bit of (Young) thrown in for spice. I saw C,S,N in concert. Saw Crosby, saw Nash, saw Young. But never Stills or C,S,N,Y.
Oh, yeah, I saw Crosby and Nash one time in Wilmington DE. Saw Crosby in Gburg playing with his long-lost son. It was an excellent show.I saw CSN; CSNY; Crosby and Nash; Nash; Stills; Young; and Stills/Young Band. The last one was particularly rare. At times. Their 2000 tour was pretty excellent and I'm looking forward to the release of their recording of a 1969 Fillmore East show coming out soon. Drugs and personality issues sort of wrecked the ship for CSNY.CSN - Y sorta sucked.
But when they were good, they were great. Teach Your Children remains one of my favorite songs. At times. Weren't they four? Or are you not counting the drummer because they keep dying?Easy. Spinal Tap
Even ZZ Top has a drummerWeren't they four? Or are you not counting the drummer because they keep dying?
Didnt Sean Combs, Usher and JBeib form a threesome a few years ago? Not sure if they released a record or not.
A little too similar to the sort of joke this board tends abhor too, perhaps.Too soon?
Yes, but that is why they were the best, according to lead singer, Nigel Tufnel, in a 1973 BBC interview by legendry interviewer Clive Whetbottom.Weren't they four? Or are you not counting the drummer because they keep dying?
They go to elevenYes, but that is why they were the best, according to lead singer, Nigel Tufnel, in a 1973 BBC interview by legendry interviewer Clive Whetbottom.
Whetbottom: "Have you considered your place among the great rock bands of this era?"
Nigel: "We, we are right up there. Maybe top spot. I don't know. (pauses) We are definitely the top trio."
Whetbottom: "But a trio consists of.. (inaudible)
Nigel: "You see, most of the trios have three bloaks, we have four. So one more bloak. Gives us a bigger sound, a louder sound. definitely louder."
Whetbottom: "By definition, a trio is three players."
Nigel: "Exactly, three players. But we have four, so we are greater by the power of one."
Female trios The Ronettes and Supremes. Martha and the Vandellas' hit "Nowhere To Run" would have been great walk out music for Jason Nolf. But when they were good, they were great. Teach Your Children remains one of my favorite songs.

Sometimes I forget how funny I am.Mmmbop is better than Tom Sawyer.
So do we.Sometimes I forget how funny I am.
I can, a crevasse doesn't stink. Those are minerals. Not rocks. I swear some of you can't tell the difference between a crevasse and the crack in your ass.
How old am I? I saw Martha and the Vandellas at Millersville State Teachers College (I kid you not) when I was dating a girl there. When I was trying to make weight, I'd go into the steam room and dance to "Heatwave".Female trios The Ronettes and Supremes. CSN - Y sorta sucked.
Neal has always one of those Rock Stars that doesn't want to be a rock star but he wants people to fawn over him but not be famous ...CSN concert was my first date with the wife, 1978 at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena.
Neal Young as an ass- After his wildly successful album Harvest, every want to see him. Touring after his next album was released in one city supposidly he started to play the new album I believe it was "On the Beach" in it's entirely.
People started to get restless and pissed, they want to hear the old stuff. He stopped and told the crowd that after he played his new album, he'd then play something they heard before.
He finished the new album then when right back and played the new album again. He didn't lie, the audience had hear those songs before.
Neil Young at Blossom in Cleveland!!AWESOME wish I could have seem him with Crazy HorseOh, yeah, I saw Crosby and Nash one time in Wilmington DE. Saw Crosby in Gburg playing with his long-lost son. It was an excellent show.
As a kid I went almost every Saturday to the kiddie matinee followed by a few grown-up films at the Tower at 69th Street (35 cents). Most recently I saw Neil Young there. Before it started the stage was littered with instruments. I assumed he had a backup group with him. No, Neil came out and moved between instruments, playing everything himself. An AWESOME night.Neil Young at Blossom in Cleveland!!AWESOME wish I could have seem him with Crazy Horse
Here's another rap trio from NYC, but a little paler:Not exactly rock, but definitely rock related. Back in the mid-80's, a trio of 3 teenagers from Queens, NY used Billy Squier as their inspiration and created something totally different in rap music. They were the first rappers to use rock music to their advantage and created rock raps. The very first rap video to ever get airplay on MTV was entitled "Rock Box". Just 2 years later, they teamed up with Aerosmith to officially bring rap music to mainstream America with their hit collaboration "Walk this Way".
The trio of Run DMC revolutionized the industry and changed rap forever thru their use of rock music. I highly recommend checking out their 3 part docu-series "Kings from Queens" on Peacock.
ZZ Top trivia: ZZ Top played a Country Western band in Back To The Future III.The line forms behind ZZ Top
Some would say he is full of Schist.Gneiss rebuttal.
Then you have never driven by a sulfur crevasse pool in or around Mammouth Springs. Reminds me of my dad on Sat. morning after an all-nighter FridayI can, a crevasse doesn't stink.
