OT - PSU Football

Penn State had a solid game. Hopefully the injuries aren't serious.

The last quarter+ of the Peach Bowl was very entertaining. Rose Bowl = ouch!

Great time. Great game. I'd like to know how many Boise fans were there. Saw a ton of orange.
I talked with a Boise lady at breakfast this morning ... she said Boise brought 32k fans. I thought it had to be more. Definitely at least 60:40 Boise I would say, and they were loud.

Today I watched the second half of the ASU-TX game in the Coach House in Scottsdale with mostly ASU fans ... that second half was so fun, thought ASU had the W in OT

Thought they had it, but you have to cover those receivers on 4th and long.
I also thought they were sitting pretty after the targeting play. I went to the kitchen to grab a hot dog and something to drink. I came back into the TV room and found out the Big10 crew didn't know know the rule.

The targeting rule, or the "whatever benefits Ohio State or Michigan" rule?

Typical PSU football game, always seems harder than it has to be. Survive and advance, on to the semis.
I hear you, but they covered the spread in the playoff quarterfinals in a de facto away game. PSU was in control from the first drive. It was about as stress-free as you could ask for with a spot in semifinals on the line.

They had all out pressure on 4th and 13 after they got to 4th and 13 playing straight up. Why change at that point? To make it worse, they didn’t even get close to Ewers as the Texas line had them stonewalled.

Every football rule reads that way in the Big10 rule book. That all by itself made me wonder what they were doing. ASU most likely can't play with OSU. Texas is big enough and athletic enough to hang with the nature nuts.

Said this during the game as well.. That guy seems to have Mr Miyagi magic in his hands..
Cael and Co are wizards, but I have always said that Trainer Dan Monthley (always full title and name, lol) and Bonnie Epstein are secret weapons that are often overlooked by other teams. At the Michigan Dual last season I had the opportunity to meet both of them. Highlights of the trip, ranking right up there with watching the Civil War veteran step out on the mat and get beat by his 12 year old grand son.

This year is the first year that we’ve had a REAL football playoff tournament. I think it’s pretty cool that Penn State is one of the four teams to make the semifinals and maybe more to come after that. Being the head coach for a major college team is a tough job and Franklin takes a lot of heat. But I think he’s earned his paycheck this year.

Echo the above, huge props to Kaytron Allen, and awesome TD run by Singleton. Allar was inconsistent, but his TD passes were beautifully thrown.

I loved how they shut down Jeantry, reminded me of D’s of old when we shut down Heisman winners like Walker and Allen!
Allar threw at least 3 beautiful balls that were dropped. Two of them were in the end zone.

Drew Allar may not be the best QB in the CFP, but he is the luckiest by a wide margin.

Great recruiter but the record speaks for it's self. This has gotten old now. The best pair of backs in the country, the best tight end and the best edge rusher and still can't get it done. It's time to look at options.
