i was looking at FLO s P4P list and felt something needed to be said. Here goes:
Mark Hall was a 165 true freshman who burned his redshirt mid season and won the nationals UP a weight at 174. He went UP a weight and won the NATIONALS! As a freshman. Smalls...CP??? P4P that

Did he weigh in at 165 at nationals?

Im guessing his losses to Meyer and Brucki factored in. Did he have a 3rd loss? Might be the only losses the rest of his career

I really do not know the answer to that question? What did he weigh?
it speaks volumes that he is wrestling at 163 this summer. Don't know what he wrestled in March but Bo and Zahid had 6-7 plus pounds on him easy. Height and reach too. This to me was the real accomplishment wrestling up a weight at that level. He never blinked-never made an excuse. Took his looses and drove on. Super star s**t right there.

Mark said he did not want to cut weight...period. He said he would do it for a weekend but had no interest in doing for an entire season. It seems like it worked out pretty well for him. :)

Mark also said in an interview recently that the cut to 74kg is not a pleasant one and that Tampere will be the last time he makes that cut. He's probably an 80KG guy going forward if the weight classes are as expected.

He looks a little small at 74kg could definitely fill out.

It's almost as if the weigh in rules are different between collegiate folkstyle and freestyle, thus allowing for more weight cutting...
And he was not a 174 last season. Not even close. He was impeccable about not making excuses but he was not a 174. Watch the match on YouTube against Zahid filmed from the stands. Zahid dwarfs Mark.
