For a few years MBB was appointment viewing. In the holiday malaise and with the Covid pause I didn't realize we were playing. Watched the last 8 minutes. Lots of similarities to what we are used to...a long scoring drought...some missed free throws...but the difference is a W vs IU. We have found ways to lose this game for many years. Today we won. Good for Coach Shrew!A nice start and a pleasant surprise to begin the new year!
We only miss two free throws in the entire game, but you saw those two free throws. I wouldn't watch 8 minutes of one of game and make broad generalizations like thatFor a few years MBB was appointment viewing. This is a good winA nice start and a pleasant surprise to begin the new year!
This is not a start. It's the 11th game of the year and the team is now 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference.A nice start and a pleasant surprise to begin the new year!
It is January 2nd, it's the start of the calendar New Year...This is not a start. It's the 11th game of the year and the team is now 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
How many big free throws have Sam Sessoms and John Harrah missed over the years? Game costing free throws...especially Sam. So missing 2 that would've stopped the bleeding really hurt. Not scoring on 5 shots on one possession felt like the old days. I had been following the score on my phone in the jacuzzi but wasn't trusting that we'd stay in it. A pleasant surprise indeed. We only miss two free throws in the entire game, but you saw those two free throws. I wouldn't watch 8 minutes of one of game and make broad generalizations like that

To Sam's credit he did hit two later. Not trying to hate on him at all...hopefully he keeps scrapping. With our style we will need every single point to compete.
