Penn State's defense gives up their big play of the season as Devin Carter got loose in the secondary and takes it into the redzone for West Virginia.
Little surprised WVU didn't try to get a play off before the end of the quarter I'd much rather try to do it facing the north end rather than the student section.
Defensive line is getting handled pretty easily. Giving up way too many yards running up the middle.
Ya'll, I'm not trying to be captain obvious, but a bit concerned with the run defense. 🥴 Hopefully they are just greasing the wheels.
Agree. This is the Achilles heal of the PSU defense - no war daddy., no elite defense. The WVU interior OL is owning the LOS. Is there an adjustment? Don't know.
Name one of the currnet DT's that's playing that was recruited to play DE??
There are NONE. Only Townley, and he will be much bigger when/if he becomes a player in the 2 deep going forward.
A few of us tried to tell people the WVU OL was very good and returned all starters.
I don't believe he was recruited to strictly play DE. As Isaac, DDS, Robinson, Fisher (played some LB as he was LB/DE) and the 3 true freshmen. Vanover was recruited as a tweener DE/DT and so was Beamon. But saying either one was recruited as a DE is not correct.
