Seriously, this is Jerkovec's third school. As someone said "why are they starting a QB that turned them down TWICE?" There is no way that a QB could have played worse than him, TBH. As someone said, he led both teams in yards passing if you count the INT return yards WVU had. Wow!
The only reason why that I can see is if CV doesn't know the playbook.
I'll add that when PSU had Roberson come off the bench against Iowa and not CV, it was rumored that CV was in CJF's doghouse for some reason. Later, against ILL we lost in 9 overtimes when Clifford was playing with a walker and couldn't stand up strait after a cheap shot from an ILL defender that wasn't called.
CV has a history of NOT being played for some reason. He did play well later in the year in mop up time
CV also had a start vs Rutgers and played well. Duzzy praised him during summer camp saying his passes had great spiral and were accurate.
Lair rumor mongers believe that Duzzy promised Jurkovec he would play to get him to transfer. Won’t bench because it would make recruiting future portal transfers not believe him, Doubtful as anyone that watched the last two games can see how bad he is.
Next game is likely his last. Duzzer can’t risk his own job to keep Jurkovec happy.

Jurkovec has to be better in multiple regards. Dozzy might be an àss but he isn't going to tank his QB spot just to spite Penn State.
CV is a portal guy too though.
Texas Tech is a pretty good team despite the loss to Wyoming and the expected loss to Oregon.
Agree. A middle of the pack Big 12 team but still way better than a MAC of non-power five conference team. Plus, early in the season everyone plays their asses off. by mid-season, many teams will be in disarray and phoning it in. WVU is a wounded animal who has been insulted. We like to make fun of Pitt but they also have a decent program. If they were in the Big Ten West they'd be considered contenders!

I just don't understand what people see with WVU at all. Sure, they could get lucky and win 5 games. They could also lose out. Pitt actually might lose out.

I stopped reading at Phil getting "C" and them saying he wasn't as bad as people claim. He's the only reason Pitt lost...well that and Greene not playing for WVU.

I diligently search for obscure telltale signs. Such as syntax errors, spelling errors, sentence structure and limited vocabulary. Then of course there’s the well disguised “Pitt Sucks” direct statement cleverly concealed in the post. Not to be confused with the universal “We Suck” comment often uttered in the Game Day Thread.
Don’t laugh but this is the type of game Pitt wins. I bet Pitt games a lot because I feel they are more predictable than most. Won with WVU this week and Cinc last week. Staying away from the NC game completely. The line tells me to stay away from NC, but not enough to bet it.
Thought same thing. Pitt is well known for blowing games they should win and winning a game they had no shot at. ND, Clemson, WVU years ago. Same as Steelers….must be a ’burgh thing🤷🏾♂️

I didn't see all of the game, I started watching midway through the 3rd. On TV it is hard to tell. Were there receivers open? You can't see them. If they weren't open and Jerkovic is being rushed, not much one can do. Its not his fault. QBs get too much credit and too much blame. But he looked slow and his arm isn't that strong.
He reads all our game day threads and all the later analysis threads. It’s where he gets that oh-so-sophisticated offense of his. If only Franklin would listen to us……🤬
