Relax there Lion Jim. All those Pitt dolts are feeling their oats. In the last couple of weeks they’ve landed another batch diamonds in the rough that will lead them to reclaim past glory. I always cut them some slack this time of year, but we know what’s going to happen. This year as usual they will be lucky to win six games while being totally blown out in three or four losses. And any of these gems that have a great senior year will never spend a Fall day in Oakland. By November they’ll be ripping each other and the Duzz apart like wild animals. Plus they will spend the holidays at home while the real teams go bowling.

It’s almost like you’re too dumb to realize Pitt is celebrating a class of 14 commits in which has 10 commits of which 10 are mid 3 stars or lower(2 mid and 8 low ranked) while making fun of a team with 12 commits and 7-4 stars that will blow your doors off in a few months.

So if you would be severely disappointed with our class as constituted, what are your feelings on the Penn State class currently ranked 28 with three 0 star recruits, that is ranked behind Pitts?

I get it you guys do no know much about recruiting and how it works. If Penn State gets really down on its luck and starts looking at 5th and 6th options(that might be generous), they will turn to your class and flip them. You want a participation trophy for landing 10 low ranked 3 stars out of 14 commits and will hold your hopes on Chris peak trying to get them bumped over the next 6 months.
Truth be told they have little interest right now and that’s why they committed to Pitt

JUCO players aren’t ranked yet by Rivals. That’s the only reason Penn State is rated low right now. That will change soon when the Juco’s are rated. Enjoy while you can.

Aaron Donald was a 2 star recruit, and would be considered the greatest Nittany Lion to ever lace them up. Recruiting rankings are essentially useless. They are good conversation pieces, not much else. That said, Pitt’s recruiting focus on Florida, Georgia is exciting. I’ll take as much speed from the south as we can get, regardless of star ranking.

Pitt maxed out at 8 wins Donald’s freshman year, followed by 6-7, 6-7 and a 7-6 season to cap off his college career. When one of the two star trash heap becomes a diamond it doesn’t change that the other recruits are terrible.
Here are some facts for you:
1) The 3 unranked recruits may get ranked in time, but all of them have one thing in common: PSU is their only P5 offer.
They honestly look like prospects Pitt was getting a few years back.
2) The majority of Pitt’s commits recently, whether you want to acknowledge it or not, had COMMITTABLE offers to your school. Check the offer sheets, the visits taken to PSU. These are prospects that your staff wanted.
This narrative that you’ll just swoop in and take what you want is horribly false when you consider that fact.
3) Pitt is ranked ahead of PSU right now in recruiting. Pretty self explanatory fact. Feel free to use the “we’ll see you in february” comment. That’s what some Pitt fans would use too.
I just love to point out hypocrisy when I see it. The DT you got yesterday, I saw comments like “definitely an underrated guy right but I expect his offer list to grow.” You literally sound like some Pitt fans from a few years trying to rationalize a reach. Pitt isn’t reaching anymore. Look at the offer sheets of our low-level 3 Stars and see for yourself.

It is actually mind boggling to me that you believe half the things you type. There is probably one commit from your entire class that might be a take right now in your class and that’s Deron Hayes. The sad thing is you actually believe these kids would rather play at Pitt than Auburn, OSU, PSU. Offers are thrown out like candy now. Pitt offered AJ Webb. He committed to James Madison? Do you think he was a take for Pitt and James Madison beat Pitt out? These teams have pecking lists on who they really want. They offer many kids to stay in the game with them. If the kids Pitt landed have any team come after them hard, they’d leave in a heartbeat.
