Pitt fans say the darndest things

Imagine having half of your class filled, ranked 50th in the nation, and thinking recruiting is going well

Life as a Pitt fan. Filling up with 5.5 3 stars and being happy about it
With all bias aside, are they actually recruiting better? I'm not a recruiting numbers guy, but they seem to be about the same or maybe even a little worse.

There’s no such thing as “ a little worse “ when discussing Pitt recruiting.

Their 5.5 3 stars have 10 star offer lists. Chris Peak will be emailing Adam Friedman nonstop trying to get them bumped. Pitt fans are in an uproar about their current rankings already. What they don’t realize is the more they become wanted the less chance they stick with pitt

I just read through some threads. There are a lot of "I don't care about his offers" or " I don't care what the experts say"....."I like this guy" type comments.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I care, but just a quick comparison since I'm bored. Of the eventual signees in last year's class that were committed as of 6/19/18, they had 9 commits averaging a score of 5.60 on Rivals. As of today, they have 8 commits averaging 5.55. I would not call that "better".

Pitt fans getting excited over offer lists without realizing teams are throwing out almost double the offers they used to is precious. An offer now is basically telling a kid hey we watched your tape and might be interested in you at some point.

The kids Pitt is currently landing are plan b and c kids at these schools and will be circled back to if necessary. Pitt fans are too dumb to realize it

Nardouche has discovered the secret to recruiting at Pitt. Parrish turned down Penn State, Michigan and Florida State to commit to Pitt. It says so on the Lair.......fact!

Nope, it's for real this time guys. I hate to admit it, that despite the fact that Pitt has no stadium, no history, crappy facilities, and an ugly campus... This is the beginning of the end. Add these recruiting wins to the high character diamonds in the rough recruits they already have and Pitt will quickly grow into a CFB powerhouse that routinely challenges for the national title, and it will stay that way forever.

It’s amazing how quickly they forget 51-6....I’m anxiously awaiting all the reasons why they’re going to beat us this year. There’s a difference between optimism and delusion.

I’m amazed that someone replied with the fact that Kamara scheduled his commitment to announce for penn state but was told he couldn’t and Pitt fans don’t believe it. Shocked I tell you

Lined up tickets to this year's pitt game yesterday. I want to see this dismantling first hand so that I can give an eye witness account to any of their fans that want to talk about it over the next 30 years, after this series is put out of it's misery.....

The guy that didn't believe it is clueless re: recruiting though. Funny that the author of the article called him out.

McSorley, the guy who always played better than he really was, is gone.

Sanders, who wasn’t as good as Barkley, who himself was overrated and afraid of contact, is gone.

We’re screwed. :(
