Some WR names, but I can't see Franklin bringing in a WR long on H.S. success and testing numbers and short on college production. The only reasonable addition would be a WR with college production (decent P5 production or high level MAC production). The PSU roster has plenty of young unproven WR's that are working to get on the field right now.College football transfer portal: Top entries from Day 1 of spring window

Some names to ponder.

Same goes for DT, with the Georga DT just what the doctor ordered, other than the fact that his destination may be a result of a bidding war that Franklin might not have the resources or desire to enter into......
Yep, he may take a DT big on size and low on experience. But that DT would have to be a big, athletic player that the staff believes can contribute in 2023, which will limit the field.Agree about WR 100%. He's done taken McClain, who fits the mold of low production, but good potential.
I think we pursue a DT almost to the point that we take one even if he's not got production yet, but minimally 2+ years out of HS just for depth. The UGA kid is probably a high end caliber guy that would be a take regardless, but who knows how that will go just like you said.
The LT from Okie State is interesting. We've done offered 1 RG/RT guy. If he could play on the right, he might fit the "we are always looking to upgrade our roster" comment.
Maybe the staff knows of current PSU interior linemen that are headed elsewhere, as the PSU roster seems jammed with interior linemen that should be ready to contribute in 2023. Nourzad, Tengwall, Wormley, Loane, Dawkins, Achumba and Traore depending on if he's been practicing inside or outside. Plus potentially one of the talented true freshmen, Birchmeier.Auburn offers former Wyoming OL Emmanuel Pregnon

Auburn based article, but we offered this player today. RG prospect who excels in pass pro.

Surely Trautwein would take an accomplished OT. i.e. if he doesn't believe Williams and/or Birchmeier will be ready to play like Shelton was last season. Anyone look at the B/W film close enough to get a feel for how the true freshmen olinemen performed? other than we seem to know that DDS pretty much abused anyone in front of him......
Based on what we know about the roster, the schedule and what we saw Saturday, we have a bunch of holes that need to be filled. In order of precedence. These were well known weaknesses going into the spring and everything we saw Saturday doesn't really disprove anything other than the order. We can cover up some by making changes such as the defensive front but we can't cover everything. Questions marks do remain regarding other positions.
3 Tech DT
1 Tech DT

Right Tackle
Z Receiver
5 Tech DE

#2 Quarterback
All these gaping holes and yet were ranked Top 5 by virtually all the most respected "way to early 2023 Preseason Rankings" such as the ESPN S&P Rankings.... - weird that, LMAO.

Do you think I care what those simpleton's print? S&P Plus is regressive nonsense, statistically speaking. The fact of the matter is, when it comes to Penn State, the last twenty years, I have have been better than anything I have read. I am not always right but I am right more than I am wrong, and not by a little bit. Not only that, but the rational for the predictions proves to be correct as well. Here's the NCAA's "Way-too-early college football preseason top 25 for the 2023 season" - PSU #5

a legend in his own mind .Yea, you're right more than you're wrong.... - you mean like all your WRONG PREDICTIONS, ludicrously wrong predictions, in the very first PSU game thread last year???
My track record is pretty good. 😁😁😁 Who here picked 10 and 2 in 2016 other than yours truly. We were better because Joe Moorhead who replaced the idiot Franklin didn't want to fire. The talent was there, it was there in 14 and 15 as well, but, John Donovan, Ricky Rahne, Josh Gattis, Herb Hand. Who nailed 2019? We were better because Clifford was the Quarterback. #14 was why that was the best team Franklin has ever coached while playing the hardest schedule he has ever coached against. 2021? I predicted 7 and 5. The reasons for the predictions proved to be true. 2022. My overall prediction was off (due to Michigan State imploding, and Minnesota losing its starting QB) but I said we would not be competitive against Michigan and would predictably collapse in the fourth against OSU like we always do. That is just since 2016. I can dust off some other screen captures when I was the only one who saw through the fluff in 2012 and that we wouldn't fall apart. I can go all the way back to 2000. You can say what you want, you can cherry pick to mislead all you want, I don't really care. My track record is good.a legend in his own mind .
You are a clown. The funny thing that happened, every weakness we had, I predicted. It isn't my fault our schedule was the softest we have played since joining the Big Ten with Michigan State and Auburn collapsing, Minnesota losing its starting QB or Utah losing its QB in a draw early in the second half. I was more correct than incorrect last year but spot on in 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16.......Deal with it.Yea, you're right more than you're wrong.... - you mean like all your WRONG PREDICTIONS, ludicrously wrong predictions, in the very first PSU game thread last year???

That is 2017. Over under until we see Stevens in the starting role? Ohio State? Sorry, I don't see this team winning more than 7 games with Trace. Hopefully I am wrong. Usually not but occasionally.
Big picture. I don't McSorley can win a Big Ten title given the limitations of his game which everybody on the schedule got to see in the bowl game and the blue white game. Nothing more, nothing less.

Keep rattling. 😘

We need a DEFENSIVE TACKLE...not another DEFENSIVE end.
Perhaps we also need a DE, could be someone about to portal out of PSU?We need a DEFENSIVE TACKLE...not another DEFENSIVE end.
Good for him. Going back close to home. Probably take the cute coed he's hugging coming off the field from the win vs Maryland with him - exit bonus!!Former Penn State offensive tackle Jimmy Christ announces transfer to Virginia

Put Wally on ignore. I did a while ago. Some posters aren't worth the expenditure of another brain cell. Wally joined one other person on my ignore list. That poster I no longer recall. This troll is such a lying douche it isn't even funny.
