Who? He barely played.
Nobody I guess. My mistake.
Who? He barely played.
Paying full out of state cost at PSU? This guy is a real amateur athlete.Penn State is set to add a former Duke offensive lineman Addison Penn to their roster, Happy Valley Insider has confirmed.
The Southlake (TX) native comes to Happy Valley after four years with the Blue Devils and has two years of eligibility remaining. In his four seasons in Durham (NC), he played in 16 games, including eight this past season. He was last listed for Duke at 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds.
Penn was a three-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting cycle and considered a top-100 prospect in the state of Texas. He committed to the Blue Devils over offers from Arizona, Boston College Boise State, Colorado State, Kansas, Memphis, SMU, Tulsa, and Virginia Tech. He originally committed to Boston College before flipping his commitment to Duke late in the cycle.
Penn was not playing much for Duke, and hit the portal in early January. Evidently, didn't find many options.
He comes to PSU as a walk-on and presumably pays full out-of-state tuition and fees, after leaving a scholarship worth $75k or so annually at Duke.
