Last season the Broncs went 8-5 (5-1 in EWL) in duals with losses to Rutgers, Princeton, Iowa State, Lock Haven and Maryland. Rider finished 5th at the Keystone Classic and 13th at the Southern Scuffle. The Broncs had two champions and two runner-ups at the EWL championship and placed 2nd as a team behind Lock Haven. Rider placed 37th at the NCAA Championship with 7 points.

The seven EWL teams are now affiliate members with the MAC beginning this season. Rider still meets up with 5 of the 6 EWL teams and adds 3 MAC teams (NIU, CMU, ODU) for an 8 team conference schedule. Their out of conference schedule dual meets include Minnesota, Princeton, Rutgers and Maryland. Rider will be attending the Virginia Duals along with the Southern Scuffle, Keystone Classic and Princeton Open. Rider returns all four of their NCAA qualifiers this season. It will be interesting to see how the EWL teams will do in the expanded MAC.

125
Jonathan Tropea (Jr) <St. Joseph, NJ>
Richie Koehler (Fr) <Christian Brothers Academy, NJ>

Tropea went 17-10 as the starter last season. He placed 3rd at the EWL Championship (1 allocation) and didn’t qualify for the NCAAs. <Bonus: 18.5%, RPI: .561>

Koehler went 14-11 as a redshirt. He didn’t have any wins versus NCAA qualifiers.

133
Anthony Cefolo (Sr) <Hanover Park, NJ>
Chris Wright (Central Dauphin, PA>

Cefolo will be trying to qualify for the NCAA Championship for the second time in his final season with Rider. He went 19-8 last season and earned a trip to the NCAAs with a 2nd place finish (2 allocations) at the EWL Championship. Cefolo went 0-2 from the 27 seed at the NCAA Championship. His biggest win of the year was sticking Austin Gomez at the Iowa State dual. <Bonus: 44.4%, RPI: .559>

Cefolo is listed at 125 in Wrestlestat and at 133 on the Rider website. If Cefolo moves down, it would appear Chris Wright would be vying for 133 perhaps against Tropea and/or Koehler. Wright went 13-7 as a redshirt and 0-5 against NCAA qualifiers.

141
Travis Layton (So) <Woodstown, NJ>
Robert Cleary (So) <Bound Brook, NJ>

Layton went 18-13 last season and placed 3rd at the EWL Championship (1 allocation) and didn’t qualify for the NCAA Championship. <Bonus: 12.9%, RPI: .534>

Cleary went 10-3, mostly in opens, last season. He didn’t wrestle any NCAA qualifiers.

149
Gino Fluri (Sr) <North Warren, NJ>
Gary Dinmore (Sr) <Hunterdon Central, NJ>

It looks like Fluri is dropping to 149 this season. As the starter at 157 last season, he went 18-12 and placed 3rd at the EWL Championship (1 allocation), not qualifying for the NCAAs. He didn’t have any wins against NCAA qualifiers. <Bonus: 13.3%, RPI: .552>

Former Penn Stater Gary Dinmore was the starter for Rider @149 in 17/18. He went 4-9 last season splitting time between 157 and 149.

Last season’s starter, Evan Fidelibus, went 11-12 and through a quirky EWL draw, placed 2nd at the EWL Championship. With one allocation, it wasn’t enough to qualify for the NCAAs. He has since left Rider and went to New England College.

157/165
Jesse Dellavecchia (Sr) <East Islip, NY>

A former transfer from Binghamton, Dellavechhia is entering his final season with Rider. At 165 last season, he advanced to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Championship, going 2-2 from the 14 seed. Dellavecchia went 26-7 overall and placed 2nd behind Chance Marsteller at the EWL Championship. <Bonus: 51.5%, RPI: .646>

Joe Casey (Fr) <Bound Brook, NJ>
Casey went 9-6 last season at 157 as a redshirt. He was 0-2 against NCAA qualifiers.

<This is another conflict between the Rider roster and Wrestlestat. Casey and Dellavecchia are flipped between 157/165.>

165
Georgio Poullas (So) <Canfield, OH>

If Dellavecchia moves down to 157, it looks like Poullas will be competing with Casey for the 165 spot. Poullas is a transfer from Cleveland State and went 9-3 as a redshirt last season (0-1 against NCAA qualifiers). He was the starter for Cleveland State at 165 as a true freshman in 17/18, going 16-15.

174
Dean Sherry (Sr) <Brick Township, NJ>

Sherry qualified for the NCAA Championship last season after winning his second EWL Championship. He went 1-2 from the 30 seed and 14-10 overall. <Bonus: 37.5%, RPI: .564>

184
George Walton (So) <Bound Brook, NJ>

Walton went 14-11 at 174 last season with his biggest win coming against teammate Dean Sherry at the Keystone Classic. <Bonus: 16.0%, RPI: .585>

Last season, outgoing senior Michale Fagg-Davis went 19-11 and didn’t qualify for the NCAA Championship after finishing 2nd at the EWL Championship (1 allocation).

197
Ethan Laird (Jr) <General McLane, PA>

Laird went 22-13 and won the EWL Championship last season, receiving the 32 seed at the NCAA Championship. After winning his pigtail, he was rewarded with a first round match with Bo Nickal that didn’t last through the first round. Laird had two upset wins in the wrestlebacks versus (17) Stephen Loiseau (Drex) and (18) Jake Woodley (OU) before losing to (9) Benjamin Honis (Corn) in the Round of 16. <Bonus: 22.9%, RPI: .604>

Heavy
Ryan Cloud (Sr) <Northmont, OH>

Cloud went 9-10 and placed 4th at the EWL Championship (2 allocations) last season. His best win of the season was a pin against national qualifier, Gannon Gremmel (ISU). <Bonus: 21.1%, RPI: .547>

Just to be clear, they're the Broncs, not Broncos. I've been their league's SID for the last two years, so it's been my job to know this...:)
