Begins tomorrow morning...pairings for morning matches just announced. Can someone tell me the difference between Foursomes and Four-Ball? I am thinking the Foursomes is alternate shot while four ball is a better ball format, please correct me if I am wrong.

Stricker as the home Captain had the choice both Fri and Sat of the order of play, morning vs. afternoon, Foursomes vs Four-Ball.

I am told this is just a golf exhibition. The players don’t really care. Plus, the golf course is a modified cow pasture that is just tricked up.

(sarcasm!).

Well, all these parking lots here do remind me of a football Saturday at Happy Valley, especially the one lot that has a number of RVs in it.

Interestingly enough, the US has led or been tied after the first session in each of the last 6 RC's. The wind is supposed to lay down a bit and turn around from what we've seen the last 2 days. Thankfully, it won't be as cold because someone didn't pack enough to get blasted by cold 20 mph winds for hours. That first match out is gonna be a great one. The others are a number of crapshoots that could go any number of ways. Wait until you see the 12th green and especially where they put the hole for the morning session. One other thing, the 1st tee setting isn't nearly as impressive as the one in Paris was in 2018. Granted, a lot of that has to do with the amount of space available to construct the grandstand but the Paris one was intimidating, especially when that wall of sound started up.

Individually Americans have generally been better players, but team-wise Europe has obviously been the better team. I'm very surprised that odds makers are making the United States a substantial favorite. I would look at Europe as a favorite to win the cup. Hope I am wrong.

The course probably played 2-3 shots easier than normal this morn, very very calm conditions.

Wow...#12 Par Three. Euro's hit both tee shots within four feet. American hits one about 15 feet past. Bryson drops one in two feet away. Awesome golf striking.

Somewhat surprised with the lack of interest on this board regarding the Ryder Cup. For me it is the main event this weekend, and it's not even close. PSU will be over by halftime.

Captain Stricker is putting out the same lineup for alternate shot tomorrow morning. Hopefully the same result.

Played this afternoon in Chicagoland’s northern suburbs, probably about 125 miles straight south of Whistling Straits.

All four of us agreed it was the windiest day each of us had played in this calendar year.

Several hours of rain this eve at WS. Here’s hoping the USA rout continues tomorrow!

Thankfully, that rain didn't arrive until after I had left the course. But it should make for plenty of slips and falls by gallery members tomorrow morning on those hills. It's pretty treacherous out there even without moisture.

This was a complete demolition by the US team on day 1. Now let's see if they can carry that into day 2. Too many times, the US has played rabbit only to have the Euros storm back on them.

Schauffele and Justin Thomas on separate teams came to play. US leads 7-3 with late leads in remaining 2 matches

Jordan hasn't lost anything. Yeah, he missed a number of putts that are higher percentage for him. There was also 15-25 mph winds crisscrossing those greens today. Even the best putters in the world have off days.

Spieth putted like crap. Rahm is playing unbelievable and big Shane putted lights out. And yet we have a commanding lead. I could see 8 points tomorrow for the US.

A fabulous TEAM effort over the first two days!

But it would have been fun to have a Koepka - DeChambeau pairing as the fourth team out yesterday afternoon! 🤭

Agree about Rahm - he's the best in the world right now. Him and Garcia are keeping it from really being a complete blowout and embarrassing.

Spieth's putting is either hot or cold. He'll string together a few 15 to 20 foot putts then turn around and miss a few under 10 feet.

Sleuth didn’t miss by a lot. They were all very close

euro starting Rory to get momentum because they need Rory and if he pulls it together would be a big lift. If he gets out of the gate good, look out. If he gets buried it will be a long day for the euros. Smart to run Xander out their first: he just won the gold at the Olympics with the weight of the nation on his shoulders

my favorite match is morikowa versus Havland. The future of pro golf.

Just about everyone played great. Some great shot making! Course is awesome. I want to play it $500.
