It was a mistake as it didn't appear on my tv menu, thanks for the discipline Nova

interesting 125 match. Pretty surprising that Tomasello didn't get warned for stalling near the end of the 3rd period. Youtsey seemed to be frustrated with Tomasello's actions, but lost his composure and shoved Tomasello into the table, which turned a 3-2 Nato advantage to a 4-2 advantage.

at 133, Bruno gets a really quick TD on DiJulius, and then rides out DiJulius (who got hit with a stall warning on bottom). Bruno with nearly 3 minutes of RT after 2 periods, but only a 2-1 lead in the score. With RT, Bruno wins 4-1.

at 141, Micah Jordan took on George Fisher. Fisher is unranked, but went 2:30 in the 1st before giving up a TD. Fisher gave up an esc, and got warned for stalling, before getting a late TD in the 2nd, but gave a reversal just before the buzzer. FIsher got an esc in about 25 sec in the 3rd to make the score 3-5. Jordan got warned for stalling in the 3rd, but got a TD in the last 10 sec to win 7-3.

at 149, Hunter Stieber saw his 1st action of the season, and took on Alex Pantaleo (ranked #8). Pantello got a TD about 30 sec in, but Stieber escaped almost immediately. 3 of Hunter's 4 shots were from too far out, and the other one wasn't much better. Stieber got an esc in 8 sec in the 2nd, ot tie the score, but Pantaleo got a TD on a nice counter on a so-so shot by Hunter. Pantaleo basically cut him shortly thereafter, to make it 4-3 Panteleo. Panteleo was out in 2 sec to start the 3rd, and went up 5-3. Panteleo got a stall warning with 7 sec left, but won 5-3. Not an easy 1st match of the season for Stieber.

157: Brian Murphy for Mich took on Kresevic (no Jake Ryan). Murphy got a TD with about 1 min left in the 1st. Kresevic got an esc about 9 sec later. 1st ended 2-1 Murphy. Murphy started on bottom in the 2nd and got an esc in 15 sec, and the rest of the period was pretty boring. Kresevic took bottom in the 3rd, and was out in 11 sec to close it to 2-3. Murphy got a TD with 2 sec late on a counter off of a desperation shot by Kresevic. For being ranked #\5, Murphy was not all that impressive.

9-6 Michigan at the intermission

Hunter pretty much took all of the shots. Thought the Michigan kid should have gotten more than one stall warning.

This match is why wrestling is hard to grow. So little action especially in matches where ranked wrestlers going against unranked. Very few shots. Unfortunately Steibet lost and he was the most aggressive of all the wrestlers so far.

Maybe it's me but hunter didnt seem to have the confidence back in his arms.

Shots from down town and straight on and really no action through out where his arms would be strained too much.

Got the rust off against a decent opponent and was the aggressor.

He gets his feel back over the next two months and he will be dangerous.

165: Garrett Sutton for Mich against BoJo. BoJo with a TD in about 50 sec, and throws in the boots. Sutton out at 1:45, and BoJo with a TD in about 8 sec. He goes up 4-1, and throws in the boots again. 2 NF on an injury, and BoJo took neutral on the restart, so he gets a TD with 3 sec, to go up 8-1. Sutton took neutral to start the 2nd. BoJo with a TD with 1:18 left, and throws in the boots. RT goes up over 2 min. PD at 36 sec left. Stall warning on Sutton with about 10 sec left. RT at 2:57 at the end of the 2nd. BoJoe with another TD early in the 3rd to go up 14-1. He cuts Sutton, 14-2. It ended up 19-4 TF.

OSU 11-9

174: Davonte Mahomes (#19) for Mich, and Myles Martin (#15) for Ohio State. RS Fresh vs. True Fresh. Martin got in on the legs 3 times, but Mahomes is good at defending. Scoreless after 1. Mahomes takes bottom. Caution on Mahomes. Mahomes out in 7 sec, 1-0. Stall warning on Mahomes about 1 min into the 2nd. No more scoring in 2nd, though Martin was in deep on a single, but Mahomes broke the hold. Martin took down , and was out in 15 sec, 1-1. And we go to OT. Mahomes in deep and he gets the TD and the win off of a single leg. He wins 3-1

Mich 12 - 11

uninspiring three periods, tied at 1-1 going to OT. Pretty much a ho-hummer.

Good flurry for the first 30 secs then snooze fest. .....can't wait to read some Internet BS about the loss.

Funny that the announcers felt compelled to say him and his dad weighed into the decision to pull his shirt.

Doubt you hear something like that w kyle Snyder or Kaid Brock or anyone who gets a shirt burned mid season.

Quick ankle pick in OT, lifts the leg and drops down to grab the second leg for the T D and win in SV.

Huge win for Mahomes and Mich to take the lead.

Incredibly dull match. Yawnstipating. Myles Martin doesn't appear ready for prime time. Nickal must have been sleepwalking through their match.

BoJoe with another TD early in the 3rd to go up 14-1. He cuts Sutton, 14-2. It ended up 19-4 TF.

Mich 12 - 11

I usually don't root for Michigan...but ;)

184: Domenic Abounader (#10) for Mich vs. Kenny Courts (#12) for Ohio State. Scoreless thru 1st, and not many shots. Abounader takes down. Abounader out in 3 sec, 1-0. Abounader on a counter single for a TD, 3-0. He throws in the boots, and Courts does not appear to be doing much on the bottom. That's how it ends, with Abounader having 1:16 of RT. Courts takes down. Caution on Courts. Courts with a gramby roll and was free, but he didn't move and Abounader scrambled back on top of him. Stall warning on Courts on bottom. A tilt but only 1 swipe, so no NF. With RT, it's a 5-0 win for Abounader.

Mich 15-11

With Huntley and Coons going for Mich at 197 and 285, it looks as though Michigan will win this dual. I've got to end my semi-PBP.

Looks like Meat Chicken will knock off OSU. 15-11 , Mich up and at 197 Huntley about to beat Martin to ice the match.

Mich seals the Dual victory over tOSU.

Anyone surprised they took down OhSt?

After watching the Nit's aggressive lineup put back points all over the scoreboard, these two teams displayed a snooze fest!

I still don't understand why Martin didn't go 184 and Courts 197. Kenny always struck me as a huge 184.

Early returns not good for tOSU's mid season shake up.

If he has any feel in his arms after Zain gets done with him.

Because Ryan figured the hole at 165 (assuming BoJo would be at 174) would be worse than Mark Martin at 197.

And yeah, today's returns on the lineup changes weren't great, but it's still very early. Gotta figure both Steiber and Myles Martin will improve with more work. Right now the questions at 184 and 197 could be equally worrisome. Courts seems pretty much disinterested and Martin really has shown us nothing at 197. And JDJ isn't exactly tearing it up at 133. However, like I said, it's still early for Brutus ...

Not really, Michigan is just a really solid dual team, 5 returning AA's, a returning Big Ten champ, and a kid who was the 6th seed at NCAA's as a true freshman. OSU clearly better at 125, 141, 165. Michigan clearly better at 157, 197, and 285. Probably a slight edge to OSU at 174, unproven true frosh vs redshirt frosh who was good last year but struggled coming off injury. The rankings and last year's NCAA finishes(Courts 5th, Abounader DNP, but Big Ten champ) may make it seem like a tossup, but Abounader has always handled Courts and is I believe 6-0 against him for his career, advantage Michigan. At 133 the rankings make it seem lopsided because Bruno has had a bad year so far, but he AA'd last year and DiJulius didn't so calling it a tossup seems reasonable. At 149 Pantaleo is very solid and who knows what you get out of Stieber at all this year let alone his first match back, so thats a tossup.
