So what is going on with the PSAA alumni council?

We didn't forget our pledge to keep everyone updated. So all that has happened so far is that we were sent a survey to inquire as to which committees we think we would be interested in serving on. We could pick our top 3 and also pick one we didn't want to serve on. What was really interesting was that we were not given the choice to serve on the nomination committee. The nomination committee are the people that will get to decide who is allowed on the ballot from now on.

Upon questioning we were told that first year council members generally don't serve on the nomination committee but we heard from other council members that have already served at least one year that they weren't given the choice to select the nomination committee either.

Curious.

thanks for the update Elizabeth!

you know, it is funny that I was talking to someone who didn't believe all the crap about Paterno and asked how the alumni were dealing with it. She said, "vote those bums out!"

so I told her with one exception from this year's PSAA Alumni Council election, every opportunity we've had to vote someone out who was part of this, we have.

so she asked how the powers that be reacted (she's an old political dog like me)

I said, how do you think? they keep changing the rules to keep us from doing it again. LOL

keep up the good fight!!

Wow- more made up rules that are found nowhere until someone asks a question. Shocking...... ;)

Elizabeth, I think think your service on the council will be the most frustrating experience of your life. I give you credit for attempting to make a difference. Whenever the situation seems the most hopeless remember that you have many friends here. If you need our help just ask. We will do all we can.

Roger Williams recently sent me a letter to join, he even cut the cost to $30 a year for me.
He then sent a second letter with stickers included.

Should I join?

Send back a letter saying you'll join- and gladly pay full price- once he resigns and removes himself from all psu activities. ;)
