Pinchot Hall 78-79 1st floor lounge (temp housing) fall term. Then moved to 111 Winter trimester. We had a firebug in Pinchot that year. Lots of 3 AM alarms. Night that most people left for Christmas break, the dude sets one of the elevators on fire.

Haha. i lived in 414 Pugh mid 80's. What a dump. The best thing was, however, that Hawbaker paid our utility bill. We were on first floor and controlled the thermostat. Guess who cranked the heat all winter?

Yes, 414 Pugh Street was a dump; but when I was a college student, I didn't mind living in a dump. I lived in an efficiency apartment on the second floor. Rent was $110 a month. It was a 100 times better than living in Beaver Hill where we had 3 guys living in a one bedroom and I paid about 3 times as much rent. I much preferred having Glenn O. Hawbaker as a landlord than A W & Sons.
