What we have is not playoffs. When the non-playoffs expands to 12 teams, we still will not have playoffs. Until the power conferences quit the NCAA, realign themselves into 4, 8 or 16 total conferences, with no independents, and stop playing lower teams we simply will never have a legitimate playoff. What we have is no better than what existed in 1990. Actually worse because for an uncertain as the bowl system was, there was far less controversy on a yearly basis than what we have seen since. We don't even need a four team playoff this year.

Bingo. 100% correct. Until that happens it's nothing more than an invitational. OSU has no business being there. Didn't win the conference. Didn't even win the division.

We all make bad predictions in sports, but I must correct you on your Jimmy assessment. Jimmy got a sniff of success at UM and looked for the first exit back to the NFL. He will do it again. He also instigates tunnel fights. He is not honest ir principled.

Coming into this game, I thought TCU had no business being even considered, but I was really impressed with their play tonight, especially Duggan. You have to give props to Dykes for getting to the CFP final in your first year as HC is quite a feat.

I also liked Smarts post game interview when he called out Bennett and said he needed to play better and play within the system. We would never get a response like that for fear of upsetting Clifford.

I usually root for all B1G teams on bowl games. UM has lost 6 bowl games in row
Now we need a new bowl that will have UM play the 2nd place team in the Sunbelt league. Let's give them a chance.
