Teasdale to PSU!

I was thinking my acronym could SAP for super awesome poster then it just didn't have the right ring.

Welcome to the board...Dieselmilk!
The BWI Nickname Review Committee will generate a proper nickname for you. It will be much better than any you could possibly think of yourself, and you will like it. Please allow 3-5 weeks for review & processing.
Seriously tho, welcome!

Been holding off joining for 3-4 years now, but the allure of a nonsensical nickname was too much.

We can disambiguate the two Nicks basketball-style.

One can be Nick the Quick (for obvious reasons), and the other can be Nick at Night (since he wrestles last, usually).

Gobblin, for whatever reason, thinks Suriano won't make 125 next season. Not sure how he figures that, but, whatever.

What are the chances Teasdale is career '25 and he gets ridden like a cheap whore at a motorcycle swap meet and face mushed on the reg by his BFF in the short future?? Honest question... I mean he is 18 years old and still not the biggest '26lber.

Gobblin also think this so I guess as I said before he has officially tossed the Terry...

Not sure what you are posting...did Gobblin post that?

It's likely. It's a) the kind of snarky crap more than one HR poster post when they are on "home turf" b) the kind of delusional thinking prevalent over at HR.

When they had 5000 125 recruits, the story was that Teasdale was going to be a 149 his redshirt freshman year. The name calling, etc. really kicked in when I suggested that was pretty wild specution. He was supposedly "already bigger than Spencer Lee", blah, blah, blah. Now that the circumstances have changed, Teasdale is a lifetime 125. It's even more hilarious, because when he was still a Hawkeye commit, he was a lifetime 133. Fantasyland.

Yep, indeed he did. Looks like Cortez to 141 is real. Score one for Gobblin. Score two for Gobblin if Suriano moves up to 133.

So, who goes at 125 for us?

Any chance it goes..

2018
Suriano
Lee
Cortez

2019
Teasdale/Suriano
Suriano/Teasdale
Cortez
(Lee RS, moves to 141 in 2020 after Cortez graduates)

I saw Nick Lee in person multiple times at NCAAs and he didn't look very big to me, but looks can be deceiving.

VERY interesting....

So: dual vs tanteam:

Suriano vs Rodriguez
Lee vs Tomasello
Cortez vs Hayes
Retherford vs Micah
Nolf vs Ryan
Cenzo vs Campbell
Hall vs Bojo
Nickal vs Martin
Cassar vs Moore
Nevills vs Snyder

In that lineup tOSU has 3 favorites 2 tossups (bojo/Hall) (Hayes/Cortez). IF and a big IF Tomasello can make 125..that gives them a shot to give us problems..

Suriano vs Nato
Lee vs Pletcher
Cortez vs Hayes
Retherford vs Micah
Nolf vs Ryan
Cenzo vs Campbell
Hall vs Bojo
Nickal vs Martin
Cassar/Cutch vs Moore
Nevills vs Snyder

this lineup gives them 3 favorites with 3 tossups (Pletcher, Hayes and Bojo)

It's crazy as good a team that we have tOSU is right with us "on paper"..now bonus points puts us over top..but crazy how good both of these teams look for next year

Rei is probably out of eligibility.
Rei is only 20 years old, and a university student in Japan, says Wikipedia, so he should definitely be eligible. And he *will* need a school to attend, I assume.

But he'll like freestyle and not folkstyle. Maybe, *if* we're desperate, Rei can be like Snyder and wrestle folkstyle only sometimes, when special asses need kicking.

[Edit: As someone else pointed out, Rei is already 21. My math skills have no skilz. :) ]

Isn't Hayes still a mystery for landing at daO$U

The mystery part for me, about Hayes, is whether or not he beats Pletcher out. They can redshirt Pletch, but if he's beating Hayes in the room...

Anyway, our issues right now, appear to be at 125, for next season, as I am now hearing Nick is moving up also to 133.

21 Nick is not moving up...But lets just say he did just for board talk...Who wrestles 125 ?

We could always make a late push for someone who hasn't committed yet?

Pull a late transfer? Dunno.

What's on the table right now, needs some work, just to qualify for Nationals I'm guessing.

I hope Cael is thinking hard about how to keep DT in the fold long term. He is a tremendous asset to the program. Not sure how to accomplish that but that's what Cael gets paid the big bucks to figure out ;-)
I would think that DT continues to train at NLWC and then maybe DT joins the coaching staff (either Penn State or NLWC).
