Add Tennessee to Michigan, Pitt, Rutgers, and whoever else you want, to the list of schools to root against. Luv the mentality that anyone ever associated with Penn State is to blame for Sandusky. Guess Rockytop means they have rocks in their heads!

I hope Schiano sues the legislators for slander, he can make enough $ he won't ever have to coach. This is a crime

They implied he was immoral as a result of his association with Penn State and shouldn’t be hired.
We rip OSU and I understand why, but this crap didn’t stop them.

You know....I’ve been pretty skeptical of the push by many here and elsewhere to relitigate the Sandusky case in sum or in part - as far as I’m concerned the man is guilty and can burn in hell. That said, it is truly despicable that UT fans/politicians who didn’t like the merits of the Schiano hire were successful in twisting this into a moral test. Whatever you think of the parties involved, they are crucifying Schiano because one party (McQueary) said that a second party (Bradley) told him that a third party (Schiano) saw something. Despicable.
The moral failing is in those who would disingenuously use what Sandusky did in an attempt to dictate hiring a more popular football coach.

They’re pissed because it wasn’t the flashy hire they were looking for. Schiano is a proven college coach and has a great track record as a recruiter at OSU. This would have been a home run for UT, IMO. Sorry, but John Gruden having a good personality and being on MNF doesn’t qualify him as a college coach. I hate stupidity. I hope their program never recovers.

Worse is they supposedly wanted Gruden as CEO/HC and Tee Martin (current USC OC) to come in and do the heavy lifting with recruiting and other day to day activities beneath Gruden.
If nothing else, I especially like the "distraction" that has now been laid-upon OSU entering the B!G Championship. I love "distractions".

I hope tennessee is unable to get a big name now that Schiano is out of the running. Any candidate should look at what transpired today and realize that tennessee is not a healthy environment to work.
Schiano put this to bed a few years ago to the satisfaction of urban meyer, and it died then and there. What happened today is a negative reflection of the tennessee culture, not Greg Schiano.

Screw that fan base in Knoxville. All the more reason to hope they continue to fail.
What a complete and total joke. They are not hiring a coach because someone (Mcquery) testified that he heard from someone who heard from someone that Schiano knew. And by the way that someone (Bradley) and the other person (Schiano) both testified contrary to that.

Actually he may have. But how does this affect any potential future employment?
They have about a 20% infant mortal rate down here.... all you need to know about how they protect children.
Funny, I saw a Vol fan mention that they would want Petrino over Schiano. Seems like a good choice for Tennessee. Petrino has never done anything shady!!!!!
At least for a big time NCAA gig... he could get a Head Coaching job at a smaller program or back to NFL.. what a shame.
