Being the HC at a major program is so much more about marketing these days. 1) your name has to sell tickets, 2) your name has to draw recruits and 3) your name has to draw assistants. I honestly don't think CJF has a lot of time to coach. I think he reviews the OC and DC's game plans and asks pointed questions to make sure they've considered all options. He counts heavily on his assistant coaches to do most of the X and O work. I suspect that is the way of all major programs.
