The 15

I don't know what that sentence means but here's what happened: I wrote the article about the PSU Scuffle entries. When I got to Cenzo I wanted to mention that he's been out of action for a while. I remembered reading that the local radio announcer said Cael said Cenzo got injured at the Binghamton match, but not the specifics. So I wrote in the article that Vincenzo has been out since Bingo with an injury. Then the article got published.

Then I read this thread and remembered the rumors about the weight issues, and then tried to look up more on Vincenzo's injury and couldn't find anything, so I edited the article to remove any reference to the injury.

I thought about leaving it in, since I think it's a safe bet that Vincenzo suffered some kind of injury. After all, who is ever absolutely 100% completely free of any injuries, bumps or bruising during a wrestling season? But then I took it out anyway.

It would be cool if had an official injury report so I wouldn't have to rely on usually totally excellent and braggable memory but I'm not expecting that anytime soon.

This is already way more explanation than any of this is worth but I'm taking a break from Scuffle previews so I figure I'd take the time to give you a peak behind the curtain at our process.

Very plausible explanation and very reasonable approach.

If that match happens, it should answer any gas tank questions regarding Marsteller. He's gonna need it.
I believe it will happen in the finals, they should be seated 1 and 2--I have watched Chance several times this year, yes the gas tank was near empty on a couple occasions, but he looked good. I will take Cenzo but it will be a good match.

That looks like it could be a very good match. With Cenzo still rounding in the shape and Chance looking like he’s already in good shape.
I wish the Scuffle was today! Good day to watch wrestling. Friggin cold out.

Sorry, but I chuckled a little when I read this...auto-correct by chance, or is the Southern Scuffle really a dinner party? ;)

"Close the gap on Jason." Funny how people thought that was possible. Easier to close the gap on Michael Strahan.
The dude who swills vodka believes Mike K has closed the gap and quite possibly surpassed Jason. I think Mike will not be able to ankle leech nearly as successfully this year as he did last year.

Cenzo and Marsteller at Scuffle---should be interesting! 1 vs 11 shouldnt be that close, but I believe that it will be!
My guess is Cenzo wins the grind of the first two periods and separates in the third. Could be a nice match though.

I like Kemerer a lot and think he could've been a 2x or 3x champ if not for an all-timer at his weight.

That said, by the end of the year Hidlay will be closer to him than he will be to Jason.

Kemerer and Hidlay are extremely talented. You are right though. Being very talented at 157 right now is the same as being a very talented 158 pounder in 1972, 73 and 74.
I used Wade as the example because of the entertainment value of both Jason's and Wade's wrestling.

Have those two ever had at it?
Don’t know about but have seen marsteller wrestler Imar in freestyle, Imar won but think chance was winning after the first period. Chance has looked good in the last year wrestling freestyle, I wouldn’t call Cenzo as a lock against Chance

Only a guess at this point, though may know more later.
Answer is “not sure at this point.”
I’ll go with Pipher, Giannangeli, Van Cura, Cutch and Nicholas, in addition to the starters. We’ll see.

I liked how they didn't even print the "1" after "No." for Zain and Jason. It is a bit silly to even compare them to the field.

I think Pipher was just inadvertently omitted from the graph since he’s talked about in the article. Hard to know why the CDT makes so many mistakes.
Mentions 17 wrestlers, lists 18 wrestlers, and the actual is 19 wrestlers. I've got 20 fingers and toes...how hard can it be? Accepting of a mistake or so, this one kept being compounded.

Also being picky but CDT called Lee and Verk "redshirt freshmen" instead of "redshirting freshmen."

The word "quality" in sports reporting left the CDT with Ron Bracken and Doug McDonald. The CDT at one time was great with local sports reporting.

A post thought. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt as they try something new this year. It would be nice if the effort seemed above and beyond a "mail it in".

Speaking of the Scuffle, will Penn State ever break Minny's 192 point total?

Softest Scuffle ever.

Was definitely less than normal, but that is weak, even for you, to have to try to justify yourself and make excuses that way. In reality, do you think it would have made a difference if others were there? If you do, just go look at what the 5 NC's of ours did to the whole NCAA field last year. You will find it looks about the same as the Scuffle.

Fact is it DOESN'T MATTER who is there.

Have a good day. We certainly are.... :)

Admittedly it was not the strongest scuffle field...dominate and it is only because it is a weak field, don't dominate and then it is PSU can dominate a weak field. Some people act like Minnesota or whatever team he is rooting for this week has won 6 of the last 7 national championships. In some third world country, some kids are running around with Jammies national championship wrestling shirts. Can't wait for his response regarding the success the gophers have had at heavyweight.

Iowa lightweights and Minnesota heavyweights, all well and good, last I heard you needed a team to win championships.

The field when the Goofers were winning and set the scoring mark, wasnt all that strong either. Do a comparison Jammz and let us know.

The Scuffle, AKA, Battle of the Backups. Harding, GFeller, Boykin, etc.
