The brackets come out today

Shak with a five seed which puts him with Mac from NC State and Moore in semis

Nevills with the 3 but Boykin in second round and Oregon st in quarters

So was there a concerted plan to give us as many roadblocks as possible to break up a dynastic run? The 157 bracket is beyond absurd. And 174 is just flat out not fair, a returning champion who is undefeated should be the top seed. Trying not to overreact, but this is not what I wanted nor expected to see. If OSU doesn't win this year, it's a big failure by them. The draw couldn't have been better for them and couldn't have been worse for us.

I’m not worried about Nolf.

If he’s 85%, he’s torching this field.

Everyone else should be worried about Nolf.

Sure, it’ll hamper his bonus a little - but he’ll still score 23-24 points instead of 27. Oh well.

Fact remains the same - if Nolf is healthy and PSU wrestles to its potential, PSU wins.

All the meth the Committee wants to smoke with these seeds isn’t changing that primary fact.

Hayes/Heilmann quarter? Yeah Hayes faded late that one time, but no chance of that happening again. Hayes guaranteed 6th or better. Deakin screwed this bracket.

I hate that he gets the nc state kid in quarters. But I like that if he wins, he gets Moore in semis

NCAA drags out the top two seeds on twitter for two hours and then barely gives us time to look at all ten brackets in the live show over 20 minutes. Where is a pdf of the brackets?

Nick is wrestling better now than he was at the Scuffle. I remember when Vincenzo faced Subjeck last year in the 1st round, wasn't scared then. Dhesi has me more concerned than Boykin.

I actually like a lot of the seeds. Most were clear. 125 broke harder for OSU. Nato getting Lee is semis instead of NS. 197 was about as good as could be hoped. Moore maybe getting Weigel in quarters, tough on top-- possible Shak/Moore matchup Friday night still needing to make weight.

Yes, Hall could have probably should have been 1 but brackets pretty even. I feel worse for Kemerer's draw than Jason's.

Not sure I’m as disappointed as some in this thread. Only guy that I don’t like his path is Nevills.

Nolf will win no matter what his path. Same with Zain. Bo has easy path. It will be Hall and Zahid finals. Cenzo will get thru and see IMAR in finals. Not sure where all the doom and gloom coming from?

I like Shak at the 5. A short guy in quarters? I’ll take that matchup rather than if he got Moore or Darmstadt in quarters.

Nevills has tough road but I think he makes semis as well.

Can we be any more woo-b-me?
When it plays out things will be fine. Penn State wrestlers prepared by Cael, Cody, Casey and staff have won 6 of the last 7 team championships, not once did seeds make any difference. Line them up and knock them off.

People like drama.
What can you say ?

Great! Nevills can avenge his earlier loss to Boykin!

Nevills needs to up the pace against Boykin. When Boykin wrestled Snyder, he was ready to quit after the first period, due to Snyder's pace. I understand that Nevills isn't Snyder, but the same principle applies.

I wish DeSanto was in Pletcher’s bracket.

Looks like:

Pletcher -
Quarter - Scott Parker
Semi - Steve Micic

McKenna
Quarter - K Jack (wish is was Yanni or Heil)
Semi - B. Meredith

I’ll that that.
That’s an invite to Saturday morning.

Unless Lee takes out Meredith ;)

The fact is the best two guys at 157 are going to meet in the quarters. That shouldn't happen. How are Shields and Pantaleo seeded above Kemmerer?
Not sure about Shields. Panataleo, however, beat the M Jordan in the finals who pinned Kemmerer in the semis. Pantaleo surely deserved to be ranked above Kemmerer. Pantaleo also gave a healthy Nolf his toughest match of the year.
