The brackets come out today

I have a hard time that Kemerer "deserved" a #6 seed. Prior to the MFF at B1Gs, he was ranked #2 all season and had only one loss (to Jordan at B1Gs).
I don't. He was pinned in his conference championship by the wrestler who lost in the finals. The other wrestlers, notwithstanding Nolf who gets the edge for obvious reasons. finished their seasons by winning.

FWIW: DeLuca could go 0-2 by losing two pigtail matches. Hopefully Zain pins Springer quickly and (relatively) painlessly to set that up.

BoJo screwed himself.
He has a 6.
Daniel Lewis lurks at 3
Mark Hall at 2.

I would have loved if BoJo drew Zahid in quarters, but I’ll take this as next -best scenario to block BoJo.

Just another screwed job there..Kem tweaked his knee at Okl State and then tweaked it again in last dual...So he had one lost when Jordan beat him and was 21-1 gets a 6 seed...Both him and Nolf should have been Nolf one and Kem two like they where all year.
Myself feel like Lee got robed also he should have been the 4 not the 3 and so he gets Natio who they ranked number one all year till Lee beat him in the duals...Really the people doing the NCAA seeding have been getting worse every year for a while now..

OK guys help me out.
First, I understand IMar and McFadden as undefeated top 2 seeds, but gee whiz I read Marinelli being undefeated going into B1Gs was the obvious 3rd seed.
Second I looked all over 184 and I can not find Patrick Downey. Is he already in the 2 of 3 championship bracket?

Just looking for a little help.

Bojo can beat the lung-challenged Zahid. Would have beat him at CKLV if Zahid had not ordered Zeke to throw the Lung Brick.

The Bull is set up well...

Way too much pissing and moaning in this thread. The only questionable weight for us was 157, and it was really more a slap in the face to Kem than it was Nolf. Clearly the committee punished MFF. See Suriano, Nick although the lower seed may work to his benefit.

Hall had an argument for 1, but ultimately the decisions on seeding are supposed to be based strictly on performance this year. Valencia had the stronger resume and got the spot. No real argument from me. OSU may have a slight advantage on paper, but last I checked matches are contested on a mat not in a notebook. Come Saturday night it might be close, but I think we'll be celebrating another title before the Snyder v. Coon Rubber Match.

Not sure about Shields. Panataleo, however, beat the M Jordan in the finals who pinned Kemmerer in the semis. Pantaleo surely deserved to be ranked above Kemmerer. Pantaleo also gave a healthy Nolf his toughest match of the year.

Pantaleo also has 5 losses, 2 to unseeded wrestlers and 1 to the 14th seed. Shields has a head to head loss to Kemerer. Seems strange and punishment for medically forfeiting.

Not sure I’m as disappointed as some in this thread. Only guy that I don’t like his path is Nevills.

Nolf will win no matter what his path. Same with Zain. Bo has easy path. It will be Hall and Zahid finals. Cenzo will get thru and see IMAR in finals. Not sure where all the doom and gloom coming from?

I like Shak at the 5. A short guy in quarters? I’ll take that matchup rather than if he got Moore or Darmstadt in quarters.

Nevills has tough road but I think he makes semis as well.

our #10 scorer, Mr. Bonus looks like he maybe will be on the podium point wise but being our top scorer might not happen with these draws.

If we win the tourney, the boys will have earned it BIGLY!

Nick Lee needs to win his first 2, if he loses in the 2nd round, could get Thorn or Red right away in wrestlebacks

Win his first 2? Nick got the worst bracket on the team. Faces#1 in his second match. He could go W L L not good. Meredith simply doesn't make mistakes extremely solid. Maybe Nick can sick the world, and then take it McKenna further on. If not, no way McKenna gets past Meredith, let alone Jack.
Lee got the 8 seed, so he can't face the 1 until the quarters.

For all those worried about Nick Nevills' draw, he is wrestling on a completely different level compared to his early season struggles. Boykin, Dhesi, etc these guys will not touch him. Nick will cruise to the semifinals.

WE ARE!!!

Just reading through, so someone may have already commented on this. But Kemerer has just the one loss (Jordan in semis) whereas Pantaleo has 5 losses. Two of them were at the very beginning of the season (one to Lehigh's UR Brown), and one was fairly recently to Wisconsin's Crone. I just don't see a 1-loss Kemerer (even with Mfft) being seeded behind a 5-loss Pantaleo.

Lee has a very good shot at getting AA but then would run into the loser of McKenna/Jack in conso quarters. I'm guessing McKenna who has a lot to prove in this tourney based on what happened last year so you never know.

Agree on the All Star Match, somewhat. If Hall wins anyway, who cares about the 2 seed? I seriously doubt Cael is all that sad at Hall getting the 2 -- it's a viable path to the finals. That said, I could see other coaches caring more and pulling their guys.

MFF take is an overreaction. Coaches are not going to risk their guys' health when it only impacts seeding. Really. Jason at 3 does not matter at all. Seed him 15, don't seed him, does not matter. Kemerer at 6 matters only because Jason is the 3. Suriano's MFFs probably improved his bracket -- now gets Cruz in the semis instead of Nato or Lee.

And they're not gonna disqualify their guys from nationals by sitting them at conference tournaments, if they're likely to get an at large.
