would like the experts opinions on weight by weight outcomes vs Iowa...certainly should be interesting. and thanks for your opinions.

Gilman should get the dec, but can't wait for the matchup. Think he will get 1 or 2 takedowns. Not sure Suriano will break through.

Cortez would be nice to have just to limit the bonus. But the bigger picture is more important.

Tossup at 141. Need good Jimmy. Carton is tough on his feet.

Zain should win.

Nolf should win

Joseph should win. St. John would be bonus. Gunther is possibly bonus, but he can shut things down and keep things respectable.

Meyer is a sloppier Morelli, but just a little better. Bad matchup. Hopefully Rasheed is back. I think he would beat Meyer.

Bo.

Wilcke is undersized and not all that long at 197, so I guess that is good for Cutch.

Stoll might fat man a win, but hoping Nevills pulls it out.

To me, it is looking like 6-4 PSU type of match.

Not an expert at all, but my 2 cents:

125 Gilman dec Suriano, Iowa 3-0. Really think this one will be close and low scoring, something like 4-2 or 3-1. Gilman's experience wins out. This time.

133 Clark Tech Fall Carpenter, Iowa 8-0. Carpenter fights hard but this will not be pretty. Really wish Cortez was ready to go vs Rutgers so he could have a match under his belt before Iowa, but no luck. Can't see his first match back being against Clark, but who knows?

141 Carton dec Gulibon, Iowa 11-0. I think Carton has been improving a lot and Gulibon's inconsistency is quite consistent. I'll take Carton in a close one.

149 Retherford Major Sorensen, Iowa 11-4. Yes, he gets the Major. Sorensen will try and slow it down, but won't be able to. Zain is on an absolute mission this year.

157 Nolf Major Kemerer, Iowa 11-8. I like Kemerer, but Nolf is in his own Universe at 157 and will toy with him. Only question is if it's a major or a tech fall.

165 Joseph Tech Fall Gunther, PSU 13-11. Joseph is getting better all the time. He might get the pin, but I'll go Tech.

174 Meyer dec Morelli, Iowa 14-13. Not enough offense for Geno. Close and low-scoring.

184 Nickal Major Brooks, PSU 17-14. There's separation after Dean and Bo at the top, and it's significant separation.

197 McCutcheon dec Wilcke, PSU 20-14. Somewhere around 6-3.

HWT Nevills dec Stoll, PSU 23-14. Stoll's size will be a challenge, but Nevills' offensive skills will prove to be too much for Stollhouse.

Iowa fan here

25 Gilman dec could be major
33 Clark dec could be major if acortez doesn't go
41Swing match here. JG looks great and sometimes not so great. The Homer in me says Carton by dec
49 Zain by bonus. I'm thinking major hoping for dec
57 Nolf by dec, major, or tech. Mostly likely major, but hoping for dec
65 Cenzo by dec, maybe major
74 if Morelli goes I say Dec Meyer, if Shakur goes I give him the dec
84 of course I wanna say Brooks, but it's gonna be Nickal. I think dec.
97 McCutchen dec, maybe Major
285 Stoll by dec

So best case for Iowa 17-15 IOWA
Worst case for Iowa 9-25 PSU
Prediction 15-17 PSU

Hey edquinn...welcome! What's your thoughts at 125...really believe a major is possible?? ;)

Nick will beat Gilman....IMO. If not in Iowa because of calls he will in BIG's and Nationals...Think he wins even in Iowa though....

Hope so Spyker, any updates on when that V-Raptor vs Cutch wrestle off takes place? How's Cortez looking? TIA

Hey edquinn...welcome! What's your thoughts at 125...really believe a major is possible?? ;)
It just depends. I feel they have very similar styles and that plays into Gilman's hand. Most of Gilman's troubles come from quick, flexible, slick wrestlers like Nico, Dance, and Waters. Both have incrediable pace, but I just don't think right now Suriano is better then Gilman in any position. So I think Dec Gilman, Major wouldn't surprise me. Did Suriano major Lambert?

Right now I just don't see it, not saying it can't happen.

You believe in comparative scores as an indicator in wrestling? Really?

The Suriano / Gilman match will depend heavily on the Ref. The crowd will be calling for stalling while the match is introduced. If it gets reffed like the Minnesota match , Gilman will win comfortably. If it gets reffed like the Rutgers match it'll be a 1 or 2 point toss up.

Calm down. It was a serious question that I was just wondering the answer too. As I stated I believer Gilman will win because right now I think he is better in every position, but by a very small margin. Suriano could win, I just don't think he will.

Nick is super flexible...Ask Nico how hard he is to take down....Just as flexible as Nico but a lot stronger....Like i said Gilman may beat him once but that will be it...Only reason i say once is because the match is in Iowa....

LMAO. Thank you for "calming me down".

You may very well be right. I'm excited to see the matches.

Gilman will have to get a call or two to win....Which is very possible cause they will be yelling for stalling before the match even starts,,,lmao

LMAO part two.

21Guns is checking you at the door i see. Nothing but an honest opinion by Edquinn06 in my eyes. Hell i even mostly agree with Lemon Pies take on the dual(i know right?)

Im way to focused on Ice and Stillwater to dwell on the PSU dual just yet. Stay safe out there everyone!

Not sure Quinn said anything that warranted such a snarky response on your part. He was just expressing an opinion, which is all anyone can do about two opponents who've never wrestled each other before.

You don't answer someone who questions you on comparative scores with "calm down". "Calm Down", is snarky.

So pile on somewhere else.

No, think I'll stay right here. Your snarky "really" initiated the little tiff.

Might benefit you to be a little more mature when visitors post opinions.

Your call, though. If you'd like to be a dbag, that's your prerogative.

I inquired about comparative scores, and he responded with "calm down". If you can't read, then that's YOUR prerogative.

Might benefit you to be a little more intelligent and honest, instead of trying to attack on a thread that has nothing to do with you in the first place.

You're being dishonest. His post was about comparative styles not scores. You were wrong from the start.

Now, represent Penn State better by showing some class.

Accepted.

Let's start again: Are comparative scores important and if so, how much?
Important no. Could they give you some insight, sure. When I asked about Suriano/Lambert in honestly was just wondering. To lazy to look it up. I still believe Gilman by dec, Suriano has done great this year and I think he will finish 2nd or 3rd at nationals but Gilman is a whole different animal. Suriano could very well prove me to be 100% wrong.

Important, no.

Basically that's my opinion on them also. Thank you.
